In a bar. Need.

Dean watches Cas smiling so hard, he’s flashing gums. He’s got crinkles by his eyes. His whole body shakes when he laughs.

And Dean knows, irrevocably, that if he doesn’t kiss Cas soon, he might actually die from the want of it.

So he tugs at Cas’s sleeve to get his attention. “Come here, Cas, I have to tell you a secret.”

When Cas leans into him, Dean sneaks a kiss right on his lips.

Cas rolls his eyes but he’s still smiling. “That’s not a secret, Dean.”

“No? Better make sure.” Dean kisses him again.

A chuckle left his lips as his eyes fell upon Peg and he shook his head lightly from side to side. Seemed it had been quite a minute since he had seen her, but that just seemed to be how things were sometimes. Being a hound that worked different jobs and all meant he wasn't always around when she was. But, tonight just happened to be a night that the hound was working the bar again which meant a lot of the people he had known as regulars were around again.

Which was fun for him, because it meant Steele had quite a bit of catching up to do. But, out of everyone he had wanted to see, Peg just happened to be near the top of his list. He couldn't help that the two had somewhat of a thing that went on. Maybe not too often, but he still enjoyed her company. Which he couldn't say about everyone who visited the bar.

As he set aside a few glasses he had just cleaned he moved over to meet her at the bar counter and grinned a bit as he leaned against the bar counter.

❝I've been around. Maybe not here to say in any capacity, but I've been busy with my own things,❞ he remarked with a chuckle, ❝Let's just say that the company I work at a lot of the time has been having some good business lately. Didn't really leave me a lot of time to actually be down here at the bar.❞

If there was something Steele regretted about running a business that wasn't associated with his own job, it was the fact he knew he couldn't focus all his energy on just one thing all of the time. There were certainly a lot of moments where Steele personally wanted to be at the bar, but that wasn't an option in all cases.

As he had found out.

❝But that's all beside the point right now, it's good to see you around here again. Didn't really know when the next time would be that I'd see you, but I'm happy tonight was a night where schedules lined up.❞
