Just Another Friday

“They didn’t abandon me.” Katie’s voice carried a bit of an annoyed tone. They just found people to leave with… and she happened to be left alone. She gave her drink a thoughtful swirl before downing it entirely, already looking for the bartender to ask for another. “Whatever. Anyway, what are you doing here by yourself?”

“I was on a  blind date at the restaurant next door and... well...” Susan snorted, stirring her vodka cranberry. “Let’s just say that Ernie’s ability to set me up is now officially moved from ‘called into question’ to ‘question answered and the answer is no’” She sighed. 

Susan raised an arm and called out to the bartender. “Jake! Over here, mate! Can you get us another round?” 

Jake grinned and nodded, moving off to make the girls their drinks.

 “So, Bell, what’s new with you?”

Squid Kids Go To A Bar

Based on searching-for-bananaflies / tamarinfrog‘s squid kid characters.

I was at work and randomly wondered which of Tammy’s squid kids would be the last one standing in a drinking competition. Then all the characters started zooming around in my head and now all of a sudden I have this list of shit that I think would happen if they all went to a bar together oops :3

Orange - Arrives with the rest of her team and joins Blue immediately. Both order drinks and quietly talk and giggle in the corner. Both were last seen leaving through the back, without paying for their unfinished drinks. Most likely to call a taxi for anyone that needs one.

Tanrine - Lightweight drinker, has two drinks before she turns into a more jailbait-y version of her cousin Daisy. Spends the night chasing all the guys and trying to get them to buy her more drinks. Hits on Logan multiple times throughout the night. Most likely to accidentally leave with bar property.

Angelo - Spends most of his time near the bar. Nobody has seen him drink anything, but he’s definitely wobbling a little bit. Seems to be keeping an eye on everyone, and leaves when all of the orange team has left. Most likely to chase off drunk patrons that harass others.

Taloupe - Parents drop him off and pick him up. Sits quietly with others and has a drink or two before wandering off. Finds the bar’s piano and spends most of the night playing it while watching his friends have a good time. Most likely to leave at the first sign of trouble.

Blue - Arrives early because he forgot the agreed-upon meeting time. Waits for Orange to arrive before he starts drinking. Hopes his brothers don’t show up. Most likely to say “Hey, watch this!” before getting hurt.

Marian - Not here to drink, but to make sure her teammates don’t drink too much or they’ll be too hungover for practise the next day. Enjoys light conversation throughout the night, orders one drink but barely touches it. Too busy ensuring every drink Belladonna receives is alcohol-free. Most likely to go to the bathroom 50 times in an hour.

Logan - Buys Tanrine drinks whenever she asks, while also drinking quite a few himself. Doesn’t feel right flirting with Tanrine while she’s this drunk and spends quite some time avoiding her. Resigns himself to playing darts with anyone who wants to, all the while making sniper noises with his mouth. Most likely to offer to fix furniture when his friends inevitably break something.

Vadelma - Orders virgin drinks and adds her own alcohol from a flask. Stops after three or four. Makes an effort to talk to everybody in the bar, especially Marian. Ends up at the pool table all night, playing for money and leaving with more money than she started with. Most likely to offer her house as a place for people to crash.

Jonquil - Arrives late and fresh as hell. Keeps shouting “Make it rain!” and is constantly heading to the jukebox to play the freshest songs. Also makes frequent trips to the bathroom to check himself out. Encourages drinking competitions and even offers to pay for them. Most likely to get kicked out for being too loud.

Daisy - Jonquil’s wingman. Challenges Cosmo to a drinking competition to impress Angelo. Gets Jonquil to pay for the competition, and appoints him judge. Keeps an eye on Tanrine all night to make sure she doesn’t get hurt. Most likely to “accidentally” use the men’s washroom.

Cosmo - Only accepts Daisy’s challenge because Taloupe is watching. Tries to take control of the music but doesn’t have the cash to compete against Jonquil. Resorts to listening to his own music, but frequently stops by the piano to sit with Taloupe and listen to him play. Most likely to start a sing-along.

Sorrel - Didn’t want to go, but goes because everyone else is. Stares at Cyanthia until he’s had his first drink, after which he passes out and snores loudly until somebody drags him home. Most likely to claim he remembers the entire evening.

Belladonna - Constantly bragging about how she can drink everyone else under the table. Always trying to start bar fights. Makes fun of every other patrons and nearly gets kicked out multiple times. Most likely to be found vomiting in an alley later on.

Arnick - Self-appointed designated driver of Violet team. Has a single drink and spends the night by the door, keeping careful guard over the bar from Octarians. Mutters to himself most of the time, but will recount war stories for anyone that will listen. Most likely to check his watch every 5 minutes.

Cyanthia - Arrives and leaves with Taloupe because his parents offered her a ride. Doesn’t look at him or talk to him at all, and gives the cold shoulder to any guy that looks at her. Stays close to other members of Violet team, and orders fancy drinks. Most likely to hold it in all night because the bathrooms don’t meet her standards.

Tetrox - Arrives long before everyone else and has been steadily drinking since she got there, but she doesn’t seem drunk at all. Spends her night wandering from person to person, making conversation with whoever will talk to her. Most likely to want to do it all again the next night. 

Martin & Jaycob - Arrive too late to torment their little brother like they’d planned. Instead spend the night wing-manning for eachother but both strike out every time. Most likely to get into heated debates with eachother over tiny things.

[bar] Hook walked up and deck the drunk who was about to try and make a move on Bonnie, "Sea-dog stay the hell away from her." He then gently took her arm, "Come on love, let's get you home."

It had been Ruby’s idea that Bonnie join her and Ashley’s girl’s night at the Rabbit Hole. She had had a bit much to drink when the others went to dance, leaving her alone at the table as the man approached her. When the drunk got closer and tried touching her skirt, she was grateful when Hook showed up. She held onto his arms they slowly made their way out. “Thank you.”

What would your character do if they saw mine drunk and about to be taken advantage of by some sleeze at the bar?

Petra knew, somewhere in her mind, that she was far more drunk than she would like to admit, she still could stand up alone but barely, she knew she shouldn’t be drinking. She blinked at the man in front of her, she looked up at his eyes and cross-eyed trying to figure out what he was saying. 

Wasn’t he too close? 

She smiled again, nodding at what he was saying but in reality, close to wanting to leave and ditch the place for her bed. Her bones were aching. She felt an arm around her waist and someone pulling her against him, she looking at the person and smiled —Sir! -she slurred —What a-are you doinghere? -she questioned, tilting her head to the side

[sleeze meme] Ariadne slipped between the Doctor and the junkie bitch that was hitting on him. "Beat it whore. He's spoken for." she snapped. The woman, taken aback, was about to protest when she saw the glare on Ariadne's face. Then she quickly sauntered away. Ariadne turned to the Doctor, a look of concern on her face. "Doctor. How - how much have you had to drink?" she asked, pulling his glass out of his reach.

He watches the woman saunter off, upset but already having another victim in mind. He turns to Ariadne, smiling but his eyes full of pain and the sorrow that plagued him drowning in alcohol. She seemed worried and he reaches a hand to her cheek, gently caressing the lightly tanned skin.

"I’m not sure, but I do know your utterly symmetrical and it’s quite pleasing to look at your face… I wonder what other parts of you are hm?"

{{Bar meme}} Latona fought back the urge to kill the woman that was speaking to him; the woman was awful. Latona could hear every thought and image the woman had in her head. It made her sick. She saw him, and even though she didn't know him very well, she refused to let him be taken advantage of like that. She stood up and harshly bumped into the woman, knocking her over. Latona grabbed onto the collar of his shirt and dragged him outside. "What did you think you were doing?!"

He doesn’t know what’s going on. He can’t feel his feet, but his lips are buzzing and he gives a grin. The woman who’d torn him from his sorrows and the bar seemed upset and all he can do is give her a look, unsure of how to speak. Had he really drowned his sorrow that far? Instead he shrugs, careless and uninhibited.

"I think I was about to have a meaningful conversation with that silurian… who are you and why does it interest you hm?"
