Righteous eateries in Seattle: Bar Sajor, Whale Wins And Sitka & Spruce. The housemade sour dough and cultured butter in an oyster shell at Bar Sajor was some of the best bread I’ve ever eaten! It was bread of sustenance, richly crusty outside and moist, strong flavored chew inside. We ate delicious and succulent local Washington state crawfish at Whale Wins. Sitka and Spruce felt so comfortable yet lovingly prepared food in the open kitchen: an autumn salad of Asian pear, shishitos, housemade tahini, roasted tomatoes, dill flowers & distinctively earthy marigolds made for an inspired salad. A dish of slow poached farm egg, wheat berries, wild Washington chanterelles and roasted tomato stew felt comforting and slowed time…
