I have more snippets from tonight's show but I don't wanna flood my page with them. If you want to check out the band playing, they're "Arterial" on Spotify. Support small artist 🫵
In 2016, Nathan Archer took his band, Rough Age, on a tour across Colorado Springs, playing exclusively at dive bars. His goal? To spotlight the local bar scene in a city where it often doesn’t get the recognition it deserves. Before the tour kicked off, I had the opportunity to brand it.
Inspired by the concept, I designed this logo as an open branding idea—one that any city or community could adapt to bring a similar vision to life. It was a project full of potential and a testament to the power of local scenes.

From my show on 9.20 at Tractor Brewery - Wells Park in Albuquerque. In the middle of my first song, a woman from a large group walked up to the stage and asked me to stop playing. Apparently they put the birthday candles on a cake at their table and needed to sing “Happy Birthday” and I was in the way of that. I had already stopped to hear what she was trying to say to me so I let them do their thing and took a drink. They finished so I got back on stage and asked if I should start over and everyone else in the crowd and some at the birthday table enthusiastically said, “Yeah!” So I began again. About one verse into the song and I hear from the back of the room at the birthday table a high operatic voice emitting. I continue to play (though a little thrown off my game at this point) and that table begins to cheer and clap for the woman who was singing. I am still in the middle of my first song (the do-over). The lovely sound guy at the venue apologized and other crowd members were upset for me and surprised I took it in stride. To be honest, I was too tired to tell the woman what she was doing was quite rude and I didn’t want to get a negative review for being uncompromising. All in all the entire set turned out fine and I even got a few new fans (not from the birthday table).
