Bar Vitelli in Savoca - Sicily, Italy
Bar Vitelli owes its' worldwide fame to the movie "Godfather". Located in the XVIIIth century neoclassical building, still has the same charm as on the beautiful, sunny day when Michael Corleone asked his future father-in-law for a permission of visiting his daughter.
The specialty of Bar Vitelli is delicious lemon granita. The luckiest visitors have a chance to encounter Signora María, who is willing to share her stories of hosting the holywood crew in the village almost 40 years ago.
According to the Bar Vitelli website, the bar was supposed to be restored between November 2013 and March 2014, so it should be ready for welcoming all the guests by now.
Where to find it? Take a short 30 minute drive North from Taormina.
