Eleggua/Bara lode
In the Yoruba religion, Elegua (or also known as Ligua, Liwaa, Legua) is the owner of the roads and the destination, is the one who opens or closes the path of life, prosperity, happiness, luck or misfortune and can even determine about the influences of other egguns; he is very naughty and his name means "the prince messenger"
The Orisha
It is the first protection, since it is he who opens the ways to continue in religion. The uninitiated or aleyos must receive it or consecrate it as first. It is the view that follows a path, becomes a fearsome and fierce warrior when he joins Oggún and Oshosi, nothing stops him. Eleguá is one of the first Oshas or Orishas to be received. He is the first of the group of four warriors (Elegguá, Oggún, Ochosi and Osun), and he won enough privileges with Olofi, Obbatalá and Orula.1 In nature, it is symbolized by rocks. Eleguá came to the earthly plane accompanying the Osha Obbatalá. He is considered Olofi's fundamental messenger.
Family
In one of his paths he was the son of Okuboro and Añagui, kings of the Egbá region and in another, of Obatalá and Yembo, brother of Dada, Ogun, Ochosi and Osun and exemplary brother of Shangó and Orunmila (ilde orula).
"EYE" IF YOU TRULY LOVE, TRUST, BELIEVE AND HAVE FAITH IN THE ORISHAS .. THEN DO NOT CONFUSE THEM WITH SAINTS AND VIRGINS OF CATHOLIC RELIGION.
