Everyone shut up i just learned that hip dips are also known as 'violin hips' and now I'm struggling to decide if I should headcanon Sherlock's hips having these, or John's hips having these and Sherlock loving to slide his hands into them and thinking of John as his living violin. how it happens:

my major headcanon for Johnlock getting together is that they get engaged right away. like they don't date or be boyfriends or anything they're just being a little family and somehow still dancing around their feelings and then as soon as they confess one of them proposes. it just feels so much more in character for them. like they moved in together and John shot someone for Sherlock within 48 hours of knowing (falling in love with) him. and then they denied it for what, like almost a decade? and so they're like well we already live together we already have a daughter we've basically been married this whole time. it took them this long to finally profess their love to each other it would feel like nothing to tell everyone their dating because everyone thought they already were. so getting married seems like the most natural, logical, next step to their relationship, not dating.

Living together -edition

• Sherlock doesn’t turn on the lights, like ever. He wakes up, goes to the dark kitchen to make tea and then sits in the dark living room to drink it.

Sometimes John doesn’t hear him getting up, and nearly has a heart attack when he puts on the lights and Sherlock is just sitting there.

• John gets frustrated when Sherlock leaves stuff all over the place. Sherlock thinks everything just should be where they are easily accessible.

• John does the laundry, because Sherlock would probably wash his black clothes in the same load as John’s (not black) sweaters.

• They will occasionally sleep in the living room, Sherlock in his chair and John on the couch.

Sherlock does experiments late and thinks John fell asleep due to keeping company for him, so he sleeps downstairs too, to be fair.

John thinks Sherlock falls asleep due to doing experiments until it’s really late, and sleeps on the couch so Sherlock doesn’t have to be alone.
