While the other corruptions eat anything that wanders onto the territory (such as plants, animals, or injured prisoners), Cuda is a fine, classy boy who doesn't want to eat scraps (as he calls them). Instead, he goes out and sniffs for plants with better genes, thicker meat, softer shells (yes, they have shells) and actually takes the time to count how many chromosomes they have... He is somewhat picky about his prey. Now, mostly, if a plant just wanders into his area in front of him, I mean, wouldn't you chow down too?
