PEACEFUL AS IT WAS, the night was also beautifully brisk— and for that matter, well-lit. Amidst a dark sky yet speckled with stars, the moon freely released its radiance... almost as freely as the Berserker gave her spirited laugh to the sky.
But of course, as her sandals sifted through the grass below, she took enough care to notice another. Indeed, it was the Boss, garbed in a sunny gold as always, to meet the moonlit silver of her hair and kimono. The whimsy that lit up her smile found, alas, a new target to share the night with.
"Well," Musashi pondered aloud, "who'd I be to leave out life's simple pleasures while I'm here? After all... this is Edo. My home time... even if it sort of isn't."
The reflected lunar rays washed over her as she turned back to face the sky; a new lucidity glinted in her eyes, just then. Her smile was softer, less brazen and bold than it was during the day.
"Where I was from— not quite like here... I wasn't treated so well. A she-samurai wasn't often heard of, so as with all things unheard of, I was left to wander. There'd be times where the moon was my only companion, y'know? So... with it being so clear tonight, it's like I saw an old friend again."
She soon caught herself amidst the monologue, scratching the back of her head as she eyed Gilgamesh— "Not discounting you, Boss, don't worry. Even if there hasn't been much room for business between us, our conversations have been nice, hmm?"
—A beat passed in silence, only broken with another light chuckle from the samurai. "At least, I think so..."
