When the rogue accuses you of making poor choices
Wasn't planning on posting this but I'm actually really happy with how stuff turned out. First time I've properly drawn anything, so meet the characters of a campaign I play in: the Hypotheticals. Anishu, drow war cleric Barakus, tiefling storm sorcerer Hou, air genasi open hand monk Laxus, wood elf inquisitor rogue Ligwom, half elf monster hunter ranger/nature cleric Sam, fighter/evocation wizard Frederic von Lichtenstein, vampire villain/pain in the ass
you mention the name barakus in a lot of your tags on reblogs, who is barakus?
Oh boy I hope you’re ready for a ride anon.
Barakus Dracamé is my D&D character. Currently, he’s a level 10 tiefling storm sorcerer, and is known for lying, fucking shit up with a butt tonne of lightning, and dying.
I’m not kidding, he’s died… 4 times in one campaign? It’s kind of his thing at this point.
He’s somehow ended up as the leader of the party known as the Hypotheticals. I’m not sure why. He’s not sure why. I honestly don’t think the rest of the party is sure why, either, aside from the high charisma and above average intelligence. Sure as hell isn’t his physical strength, the boy has failed basic physical tasks on multiple occasions.
The party is trying to take down a vampire soldier on steroids named Frederic von Lichtenstein (Freddy to us), as he’s got this thing going with Orcus, which is never good. We’re very much the front-line against Freddy, as few are even aware of the threat yet, and fewer still are actually willing to fight alongside us. Freddy is very powerful. Freddy really doesn’t like us. Freddy makes things very personal.
That doesn’t even factor in that the party has made an enemy in the form of a very powerful archfey, and Barakus himself has an enemy in his archdevil ancestor, who also technically owns his soul due to a few poor decisions.
Basically, Barakus is a pretty powerful mage with an equally powerful group of misfits behind him, a small army or two by his side, and only the vaguest idea what he’s doing.
I wrote a thing about my D&D character Barakus who I post a fair amount here, in case anyone is curious about the idiot’s past
