Achemi grew distrusful of the Cambremon, as she assumed Ren had intercepted Kadja's message and had killed her himself. The Baranims cut off all contact with them and went deeper into the Wastelands.
Ansyl: I was alone when I saw him, and so was he. I recognized him from my time back in the Cambremon hub, so I decided to save him. Should I have let him die in the snow?
Achemi: That's not... *sighs* Fine. In any case, Marek confirmed his identity, he's Ren's old Starschin. Apparently he was the victim of some kind of power play by the head of the guards. *scoffs* Exactly the kind of mess I wanted to leave behind.
Achemi: *pause* I'm worried for Marek. He tells me everything's fine, but I think he's just playing tough. I told him to keep Bruk's presence here secret. Who knows how the Cambremons would react.
Ansyl: *nods* That's good thinking. We can't trust them.
Achemi: Our little friend here says he remembers being carried to safety. Strange he should have that memory. Could you tell me again how you found him?
Ansyl: He was dying and delirious, I wouldn't worry about it.
Achemi: How did you find him Ansyl? Is there another person walking around the wastelands I should know about?
Bruk and Yakon: *pleasant conversation*
Bruk: My joints are still a little sore, but that balm you put on me really helps! I'm amazed at how effective it is, I've had my share of wounds, and I've never healed so fast!
Yakon: Yes, it's quite a good balm. It's adapted from my mom's recipe, using what we can find here in the wastelands. She tells me the original one is even better.
Bruk: That must be something!
Ansyl: He seems to be doing much better! Soon he'll be able to hunt with us.
Achemi: Yes... I had a little chat with him yesterday. And there's one thing that still puzzles me. Perhaps you could enlighten me?
Ansyl: *carefully* What is it?
Marek: *furious* A wife or no deal! I'm tired of being without a woman! This one here *gestures to Ansyl* strolls into our camp, I patch up her wounds, but she chooses to mate with my brother! Now I have to watch them found a family together, I have to hunt meat to feed their children! What options do I have? I want my own offspring!
Achemi: Marek, we heard you, enough!
Ansyl: Yes, he does go on and on about it. It would be a big help if you could find a wife for him in your hub. *muttering* And take him off our hands...
Achemi: Welcome to our humble seat, Cambremons! When winds lay down buildings, we pitch our tents where the cold is less biting. These are my sons, Marek and Yakon.
Marek: *closely studies the newcomers*
Achemi: And this is Ansyl, Yakon's companion.
Ansyl: I can't believe it, it's really you! Dormund! Ren and Andra Cambremon, in the flesh! I hope you're not here on Edvin's behalf... There's been a few... changes since I left the Cambremon hub. *gestures towards her baby*
