The character profiles: The Cambremon (and the family tree for generations 1+2) ; The Kanterso; The Goksin ; The Baranims; The Serfs ; The Dantuzine

The Blades' fort was almost overrun with spiders during the coldest season. With the blizzard cutting them off from the rest of the hub, the Blades were alone against the swarm.

Having the Cowplant on a community lot is totally save. 😒😶🌫️
The code will only allow to eat Sims on residentual or secret society lots.
On an owned community lot, when the cake will finally show, any Sim will try to grab the cake, followed by a good sniff down from the cow plant. Done. Repeat, because the cake is suuuper attractive to Sims.
This Mod adds 2️⃣ new functions:
➡️A Debug menu that allows to bring up the cake, even on an unowned community lot. This menu is available by shift-clicking the cow plant.
➡️When the plant is in "cake mode", a new interaction is available that let you select a Sim to be "Sentenced to Death" by Cowplant.
It takes a moment to transition from "plant" to "cake" mode.
🐮DOWNLOAD🐮
Will only work with the maxis Cowplant.
To place a cowplant on an unowned community lot you need e.g. Buyable Career Rewards for Lot Builders.
Works great with:
@missirissims Cowplant Survival mod bundle. Especially the "Save victim" interaction.
HCDU+ will show a conflict in the TTAB resource for "Cowplant Autonomy".
My mod needs to load after "Cowplant Autonomy" to function. If you liked the TTAB motive changes from "Cowplant Autonomy", copy them over into the TTAB resource of my mod.
One trope I love, and which kept popping up during the gen2 storyline, is the "deal with the devil".
Time and time again, characters try to make deals with the powerful. But the power imbalance makes a fair exchange impossible: the characters are always cheated.
I felt that some of these meshes didn't have many recolors so I had to fix that :)
All meshes included (except for one, see below), younger ages are repoed to adult, adult files are enabled for elder as well.
My conversion of The Sims 3 Store's "A Hero's Journey" with shoes by wiccandove (I think?). I know Cynnix converted this already but I wanted it with shoes.

The end for the boys. Hope you like them and do tell me if I messed something up :)
Thank you so much to simverses (tack!) and Eulalia for the textures!!
Another medieval default no one asked for.
I've long dreaded the default water balloons, as there have been very few period-friendly alternatives. So I decided to replace them with rotten apples instead.
My first thought was to use a mesh from KCD2, but since this accessory requires morphs, I instead modified misaki0218's tomato default by removing the sepal to make it resemble an apple. I then retextured it using free textures from Sketchfab and TextureCan, resized the mesh, and adjusted the CRES so it sits naturally in the Sim's palm. Poly-count lowered from the original 721 to 381. Texture size is 512x512.
Unfortunately—and I have no idea how to fix this—the original colorful balloons will sometimes still appear when the water balloons burst. As far as I can tell, this seems to be an issue shared by all existing water balloon defaults.
Credits to misaki0218 for the original mesh, and to the creators of the textures used.
Firstly, I know I am posting A LOT but I just saw this mod work. I saw a townie in Twinbrook that got set on fire due to the summer heat and I saw my custom memory and got excited!!! The above image was just a test :P
These mods come with a custom memory. In the unmodded game, Sims only get a generic memory for fire in any form.
With my mod, Sims will also get a memory for being ON fire!
The memory is called "Got Set on Fire!"
If you use the Pyromaniac 3t2 trait, these Sims will have a GOOD (green) memory from being set on fire. Daredevils will also get a good memory. Everyone else gets a bad memory.
You don't need traits to use this memory, just Easy Inventory Check.
BOTH files in the ZIP are required. Download "ys2g_MEM_setonfire" AND ys2g_MEM_setonfire_event" to use this mod.
PART 2
Pyromaniacs can start fires!
This is a custom self-interaction. Only pyromaniacs can do this. They will start a fire right in front of them! Make sure they have clear space to do this.
Download ys2g_pyro_startfire to use this mod
No conflicts that I know of, but you might want to check if you have a mod that uses the BHAV "Panic-On Fire! All files require Easy Inventory Check. Run HCDU to sus out conflicts.
hey everyone! I'm looking into getting a new PC, what would you recommend for running the sims 2?
I currently use an old PC operating on windows 7, I'm a little afraid of getting something newer after seeing the struggles some people had with running the game with windows 10 and up. Should I stick with a reconditioned windows 7 laptop?
Also saw people talk about Linux, is that a system that's easy to understand for a beginner like myself?
The first of May is a small milestone for me as on this day back in 2019 I started posting about the world of Landargia. There were productive years and there were less active ones. For example, in 2023 I published only 3 posts. I hope those unproductive times are behind me. Today here are my favourite screenshots from each year.
Three of these men's outfits use a mesh by JulieJ. One uses a mesh by Nextor, but despite my best efforts, I couldn't find a link to the original mesh. If anyone knows where the original can be found, please let me know and I'll add the link.
DOWNLOAD SFS
IMPORTANT: If you already have the mesh MESH_slim_Jedi_w_Coat_by_nextor, please REPLACE it with my version. The original mesh had a clipping issue, which I have fixed.
Also keep in mind that these SBB meshes often have thicker necks than the standard Sim body meshes, so choose a head model that is wide enough for Sims using these outfits.
I wasn't enthused about the existing versions of the Test of Time Challenge so I went ahead and made my own. It's inspired by existing Sims 2 challenges, other games, and history of course.
What's different about mine compared to the others?
No slavery or patriarchal ownership of women
Supernatural Sims incorporated into the challenge
Scoring system based on skillpoints and talent badges
Historically inspired abilities
Occupations that incorporate the expansion packs
Here's the short version:
Start with eight adult sims split evenly between two huge lots. these are the first tribes
once their grandkids are adults, move on to the next era
there are 6 eras, so the challenge will last a total of 18 generations
count up each sim's skillpoints. when you finish the game, that number is your score
I have the detailed guide here on google docs
