Mary Marino is wrapped in jewels in her feature on Baristanet; "Never to many jewels" she proclaims on Twitter, I agree! I commented on the blog entry and she invited me to her Pop-Up Shop in Upper Montclair. An enthusiast of hand-crafted, original art, I happily ventured over. My eyes lit up with the array of colors and designs that make up Mary's collection; her pieces range from simple and elegant to colorful and playful; all of them bold. My #silverfoxsister was creating a necklace with a powerful piece of coral when I met her. I was captivated by the design so I returned today and claimed the organically gnarled-shaped "rattlesnake" coral necklace for my own; I feel lucky that I witnessed the hands that created this outstanding statement piece. can the montclair public library really be the "center of community?"

the montclair public library wants to be the center of community according to their "strategic plan." is it in their strategic plan to physically move to the actual center of town, though? because, frankly speaking, it would be a shame to steal the glory of LITERALLY being the center of community from whoever actually is there.

do we really need to force "hurricane plumbing heating" to pass the torch of "center of community" to the library? isn't "hurricane plumbing heating" already a good enough place to serve the community? they seem excellent, a real class act:

also we know they have ample heating and plumbing, which is really all we need besides froyo OF COURSE.
