Pulling down his orange star shaped glasses, Finnian winced a bit, his nose scrunching as he stared out across the beach "You know what they say about sand? I don't like it." He commented, lifting his head up and looking directly at the sun for a moment, standing there in nothing but his swim trunks covered in adorable little turtles he tapped a foot against the sand "It's coarse- Hey! Are you paying attention to me?" He looked over toward Evo then, seeing her face had been turning red "What?"

He looked Evo over, making a face, then laughed a little bit "Okay Captain Hook, maybe we should think that plan over a little longer perhaps?" He squint, almost cringing at the idea of fighting a crocodile.

He frowned at that. It would have certainly been as interesting as it was annoying if the floor DID was in fact sentient and could let them know just how much they didn't appreciate being walked on "Ah- well, one day I might access a universe where there is one. Now that I've thought about it. Perhaps Imagination Land." Laughing a little he lift his head, raising his eyebrows "How did you do that?" He asked. Reaching over he grabs a book on a side table "In other news, I watched Howls Moving Castle last night." He informed as he opened the book, glancing it over "You're not hurt are you?"

Clumsy Starters

Finnian lift a hand up to his head, fucking some hair behind his ear as he hears his "Well what did it say?" He asked, looking toward the floor, then. His nose curling a bit as he wondered why anyone would use a living floor. Wait, why were floors alive? Raising his eyebrows he pulled his attention from the floor to Evo "Has the floors been sentient here the whole time?" He had never detected life from them, like that. Frowning a bit he looks to the floor again "Is your species the only one that can understand it... My floor doesn't talk. If it could it would probably not be happy about the guests that spill tea on it sometimes."

Ah, another one. 

That was Darius’s first thought as the strange woman walked into his tea shop, looking confused, quite a bit lost, she had “I’m not from this realm” written all over her. Now, in all fairness, he hadn’t seen an oyster since... well, his own sister wandered into this realm, but even before that, there had been Alice.

He had been sitting there in his chair, behind his desk in front of the vials of emotion displayed on a window sill above his head and against the wall, dark eyes glancing up at her before looking back down at his paperwork. Behind her had been a door, behind that had been a set of stairs, below the stairs had been a tavern that he had owned but the tables would have been empty because he hadn’t even opened the shop yet.

“Have a habit of walking into places that aren’t even open, do you?” He had paused for a moment, though he didn’t look up at her. “Just because a door is unlocked, doesn’t give you permission to walk through it.”

Finnian nodded at the thank you, then looked back out toward the falling rain as it went on. He wondered how many other planets would have such similar weathers, how many other dimensions. He wondered even how many were different from one another. As the lightening had come, crackling and then striking with a boom he reached over toward her, grabbing her hand to pull her toward him.

Ignoring his own discomfort from the loud noise, he hummed a song from his own planet, one he had heard the queen hum to her own son, in the nursery as she sat and told him stories. He often ease dropped from where he was made to sleep on the other side of the room, only because he was to be bonded with the prince as his loyalist friend and right hand man when the time came for the other to rule "It's alright."

Raising his hands for a moment, he pats them then to his legs "Oh. Well sorry. Why's the tea g-" He opened his mouth, half offended by this next comment. Looking her over, in absolute shock "You don't like tea?!" Shaking his head, he swallowed "Maybe you just haven't had the right tea yet." That had to be it! He was sure of it.
