You have no idea how much of a relief it is to know that I am not the only one confused by this scene! I kept thinking I missed something? Maybe I did... but it seemed completely random.

Maybe they'll touch up on it in a later episode... After all, we didn't see how Lily and the Mother parted...

This could be a random little piece of the puzzle that will all come together later in the season.
