After the events with the most recent trouble leaving the coffee shop closed for the last few days Dwight had been making it by on the awful coffee they kept at the station. Needless to say he was not enjoying going without his usual Americano.
So with Black House Coffee re-opening their doors that morning he was there bright and early. Haven was much easier to deal with when he had good coffee. Coffee that didn’t taste like it had been sitting in the station since Haven was founded.
The barista greeted him as always and proceeded to ring him up without bothering to take his order. It wasn’t very long after he paid until his order was ready. After picking the drink up and putting a tip in the jar he walked over to a table in the corner of the room.
He had a little time before he needed to be at the station and it would be nice to actually sit and enjoy his coffee for once instead of trying to inhale it before things got too crazy in Haven.
Dwight was just taking his first sip when he heard the door open. He looked up expecting to see one of the shop’s other regulars, which is why seeing Haven’s newcomer walk through the door surprised him a bit.
After what she had witnessed on her first and only visit to the place he figured she would be avoiding the place altogether. However, given it was the only decent place for coffee in Haven he couldn’t say he blamed her.
Waiting until after she placed her order he waved over to her.
“Morning Jennifer” He called hoping he sounded friendly enough.
She was helping a lot with trying to find Audrey and he didn’t want to scare her off. Besides, he remembered what it was like right after you first found out you were troubled. It definitely wasn’t the easiest thing to deal with.
