Headcanon #1 - Duke & Being ‘Mothered’

Duke does NOT like to be mothered. Of all the things, even though he always seems to be more grumpy these days, mothering him is the sure fire way to really set him on edge and instantly make him dislike you.

It obviously is because it reminds him of his own mother, except for the fact that she didnt try ANY of that. She didn't care to know him and quite frankly, Duke does not want anyone trying to treat him like he's in need of a mother, or care. He survived pretty much his entire life without any parents. So he definitely doesn't need any replacements.

No but (tbh if it would work. idek if it would turn him or the blood just be killed or he’d have some weird side effects like blood that moved on it own) Duke would have to be SUPER extra vigilant, more careful than anyone else, around vampires.

Because if any vamp blood touched his skin he’d be SCREWED. Can you imagine it though. I mean, even if his trouble stopped him from turning, he’d have such a hard time fighting for control and just LOL NOPE. Poor kid.
