Atheist here. Not trying to start a big debate with you, just curious and taking a poll with a few people: What do you consider the single best evidence in favor of the existence of god? (I'm not going to make a straw man, it's okay to summarize.)

There’s a lot of reasons as to why I believe God exists, and truly it is the culmination of all those reasons that dispels any doubts, but I think it all can be summed up in this: Statistics. For me, if you want me to believe something, you had better have the proof to back it up, so my faith is founded on very tangible evidence.

The probability that the universe and all its intricacies could have been formed by accident proves to me that it was created by intelligent design, it proves to me that there is a god. But the Bible substantiates that by proving to me that the God of the Bible is the ONLY God.

From creation, to each nuance of the Bible I’ve mentioned, the probability of these happening and/or happening in junction with each other is virtually non-existent. The ratio of impossibility is so astronomical that, when you view the details, the facts, the evidence, you are forced to admit that this could not have happened of its own accord and that leaves only one remaining answer: God. From start to finish, this is divine design.

I believe in the existence of God because it statistically makes sense.
