synopsis: just some drabbles about king barou and prince katasu, + seperate pairings

"Took you fucking long enough."
"My apologies, sire," you bowed, your voice soft, but not timid.
"Apologies my ass, just- c'mere already."
"As you wish," you smiled and straightened your posture before walking over to stand in between the King's legs.
Immedietly his arms were around you, pulling you close to him as he remained seated on his throne, "Don't ever keep me wating again."
"As you wish," your hands settled on his scalp, gently carding your fingers through his hair.
He grunts, "How are you gonna do that correctly with the damn crown in the way-? here, lemme just-" he lifts you to sit on his lap, your back against the armrest of the throne.
"Sire-"
"Shuddup," he takes his crown off with one hand and places it on your head.
He leans his head close to your shoulder so his hair is easily accessible.
"Sire, this is considered traitorius against the crown..."
"No it's not. So stop stalling and just... go back to touching my hair... and stop calling me that when it's just us."
You let out a sigh, and gently adjusted the large crown on your head before continuing to run your hands through his hair, "Then what do I call you?"
"... I don't care. Just my name, don't make it weird."
"Oh. You mean like... Shoei..?" You smiled against his ear.
His hair covered his eyes, but you could make out the redness of his ears. And how his hold on you tightened, "Damn you..."
You pressed your fingers against the x on his temple, gently tracing over it, before pressing a soft kiss there.
"Cocky bastard," he muttered as he pulled you even closer.
His breathing shallowed and he leaned in until his head was entirely supported by your shoulder. It was tranquil for the first time in a while in the throne room. Who would've thought the one person who could get this close to the notorious king, would be a faithful butler to the castle?
|| KARASU ||
"This has to be some kind of mistake..." you muttered to yourself.
You didn't mean to get commitited so quickly! You just thought by fianlly sending a marrige proposal to a princess way out of your league, you'd get your parents off your back for a while. But turns out that princess wasn't a princess. She was a prince. Prince Karasu.
Rumored heart throb of his kingdom. You knew the name sounded familiar, but you overlooked it.
Now he was seated across from you in your cabinet with, what may be, the smuggest face in existance.
"Oh don't keep me waiting, my dear prince, I came to accept your proposal," he grinned.
You glared at him, knowing he was finding enjoyment in all of this.
Just your luck something like this would happen.
"Are you serious? Why would you accept such an offer, you had to know it wasn't mean for you."
"I clearly recall my name being on the letter."
"Well- yeah! But it wasn't actually meant for you."
"Don't tell me you're backing out? I would be heartbroken," he fluttered his lashes, that shit-eating grin still ever present.
You know you can't back out now. The letter was notorized and everything. You parents didn't even bother to read over it as they were too overtaken by glee to care. He knows you know you can't back out now. You were screwed.
"Your letter sounded so heartfelt. You swore to always protect and cherish me. That you would do all you could to provide for me. I have to say, I'm excited to see you deliver on that promise, betrothed."
I love the fact that Barou has two little sisters so so much, so I came up with headcanons:
-Despite him being super masculine, he's been dragged into makeovers with his little sisters.
-Too many times, he's been forced to sit down being covered in glitter, messily done lipstick and makeup, and a tiara on his head. His sisters love seeing him all grumpy with it.
-He picks them up every day after school. All the kids at the sisters' school are terrified of him. He gets confused when other children run away from him despite him doing nothing.
-His sisters constantly tell their classmates how their "Barou-nii is the nicest person in the world!" But the other kids hardly believe that the moment they see him 💀
-They like his cooking more than their mother's sometimes.
-Especially sweets. He makes really good desserts.
-Barou has had his hair braided at least a couple dozen times by them.
-His sisters use him as a jungle gym. He never budges. They weigh nothing to him.
-Is a period WARRIOR. Because he grew up in a house of women, he knows exactly how they get when menstruating, so he prepares in advance. Stashes of chocolate, pads, heating pads etc.
-His youngest sister hasn't gotten her period yet, and he often worries about the inevitable fact that they won't stay little forever
-Glares and yells at any boy who the sisters either have a crush on, or crush on them.
-The sisters LOVED his new look after the U-20 vs. Blue Lock match when he put 3 red streaks in his hair. He preened under their admiration. Their mother found it hilarious though.

He can come across as an egotistical jerk a lot of the time, but when it comes to you another side of him comes out. He’s a large, muscular guy so he tries to be softer and more gentle to build that trust with you. He wants to be able to hold you so close so you feel safe and surrounded by love. He doesn’t want you to be intimidated or nervous around him. And the flip side is that is also true he loves the trust you’ve built because when it’s just you and him, that’s when he can be at his most vulnerable too.

⤷Barou definitely wants to clean with his s/o early on a Sunday Morning, and I headcanon that he's a fan of anita baker because he would love to listen to her early in the morning to get his morning going.
⤷Barou also loves going shopping with his s/o like getting cleaning supplies and just bonding off the fact that you support his obsession with cleaning your house clean together.
⤷He also loves pudding since it’s canon you would make him homemade pudding and that would probably be the only time he’ll allow you to baby him because he likes when you feed it to him.
⤷Barou likes to pick you up when he’s working out and even if you are chubby he will still pick you up and beg you to let him lift you and it doesn’t matter if you’re insecure, he doesn’t care he’s still going to pick you up.
⤷His little sisters love you and will always ask for you to come over or to come to play Roblox with them and they will literally beg you to come to play with them and never let you and Barou have time with each other.
⤷On Halloween, he will make you dress up as cat woman because he will dress like batman and he will literally beg you no matter how embarrassing it is because that was his dream to have a cat woman by his side.
