Everyone knows Raichi has a temper. You can hear him from two classrooms over. Hell, you can probaly hear him screaming from the track outside. He's snarky, and mean, he's blunt too. Maybe he doesn't always mean for it to come off that way, but it certainly does. His friends always tease him for it.
"No wonder you can't find a girl yet..." Isagi poked.
"Yeah, he scares them all off, he's scaaary!" Bachira grinned.
"Shitheads, I have a partner," he snapped back.
"Riiight..." Chigiri rolled his eyes.
Before Raichi could bite back, a loud squeal cut through the tension, "Baby!"
Everyone's head whipped around to the source of the sound, and lo and behold was someone elated, headed in the direction of... Rachi?
Isagi, ever the-think-aheader, looked over to Rachi, and he seemed just as confused as everyone else, maybe even... embarrassed?
You ran up and hugged him, "Jingo... ugh, I've missed you all day! You've kept me waiting!" you pouted, fluttering your eyelashes ever so precisely.
"No shot..." Kunigami broke the silence.
Rachi snapped out of it and snickered before leaning in closer, "Sorry, babe, I was busy, you know how it is, but I'm all yers now."
"Oh, I'd hate to take you away from your friends... Is that alright with you guys?" you asked politely, turning your head to look at them.
"You heard him... He's all yours..." Chigiri said, his face perplexed.
"Oh yay!" you grabbed his hand and dragged him away, "Bye, everyone!"
Murmurs of bye were heard behind you.
You smiled over at Raichi, he was ecstatic, his removed his hand from yours and looped it around your waist instead.
You gave him a look, "Really? The giddy act wasn't enough?" you whisper yelled.

You glared at him, "So my place or yours?" you forced out, just loud enough so his friends could hear.
"Deeefinitely mine," Rachi leaned in closer and smirked.
Just as you were out of eye view of the group, and turned the corner, Raichi's hand let go of your waist. He squeezed his now free hand into a fist before releasing it. His face flushed red.
"Oh so now you're embarrased?"
"Shaddup!" he let out a huff after, "I'm not embarrassed... just giving you space. No need for us to be all touchy right now..."
"Well how's everybody gonna know I'm all yours?" you innocently smiled back.
"You- Damn you..." he muttered, his eyes fixed to the cement.
"You owe me for that."
"Yeah, yeah, I know... What do you want this time?" he looked up at you.

"From?"

His face flushed crimson yet again, for a second you thought steam was gonna come out of his ears.

You swore you noticed his ear shift downward, but it's Rin, so no way he'd let you know it affected him.
"Don't stop."

His soft smile definitely didn't go unnoticed. How could you refused your fluffy boyfriend? Plus, you knew he'd make it up to you, he had a habit of spoiling you rotten.
Your boyfriend's been out of town for a soccer match for a few days, and the distance took a toll on the both of you. Now he's hellbent on taking as much of your affection as he can to make up for the time lost. You trailed your hand up and down his back as he turned and curled into your side. He hid his face against your side boob and wrapped his arms around your torso.
"Your ears are tickling my nose."
"Deal with it."
You rolled your eyes and trailed up to scratch the nape of his neck.
He looks up at you, "I'm sorry," he mumbles, his eyes look strained.
"It's okay, I'm not mad or anything."
"...Good," he returns to his earlier position as his tail slowly hits against you.
"Full moon tonight, huh?"
No response.
"That's why you've been like this."

No response, again. Just a stifiled groan. You feel him shift as he pulls away and stands up. He pulls you off the couch and into his arms as he carries you to your room.
"Rin!"
"What?"
"I have stuff I need to do!" you accidently drop your phone.
"Not tonight."
He pushes the door open with his foot and lowers you onto the bed, and stares at you, like he's daring you to get up. You groan and lay against the pillows. He leaves for a bit and comes back in a couple minutes with a pile of blankets and more pillows in his arms. He lays them out and takes his time placing them on your shared bed.
He takes a step back to look over his work then slips under the covers to join you. You allowed yourself to subduct into your mountain of pillows and blankets. He pulls out your phone from his pocket and hands it to you, then hugs your hips to bring you closer to him. You know this kind of intimacy always helps him during full moons, so you weren't going to complain.
"You're good at fetch."
"You're good at being an ass."
You laughed and held him tighter, "Love you, you damn furball."
"Love you too. And thank you."
You hummed and nuzzled into him. Out your window you noticed the hues of orange and pink fade into a serene purple. The light of the moon shone through your blinds, sure sometimes Rin got out of hand with a full moon, but this is the calmest you've ever seen him. Besides for the occasional squeeze he gave you, he seemed tranquil.
"...Sorry about earlier. I just- fuck I missed you... I needed you so badly. I tried to hold back - I can't help it," he mutters into your ear.
"It's fine, I'm fine. You feel better now?"
"Yeah..." he squeezes you a final time as his large, clawed hands rub at your stomach and side.
Even with the moon at it's brightest, Rin knew not to be scared of what he was, because you ground him.

He tried to get you anything and everything he could have, did you need more? Was he just not enough? His heart was too full, but it's all he had left to give you, did you want the tissue from that? Even now you'll find snacks on your desk before class starts, a few bottled drinks in your dorm, think of it as him making it up to you. He wants it to sting, he wants you to feel as wretched as he does right now. He's always been the second choice, he knew he wouldn't amount to anything, why try? You told him otherwise, and made him believe that there's hope for him. How fucking stupid. Now he can sleep, skip class, and fuck with underclassmen as much as he wants with no ballsy herbivore nagging in his ear. You'll see him around everywhere, but you'll never catch his gaze. Everytime you turn around you swear you feel something glaring holes into the back of your head, truly like a predator watching its prey.

He didn't do his job right as your boyfriend, so he'll make up for it as your friend.

Death by the hands of Joker wasn't enough, he also had to be bound to the graveyard his own grave was dug in. Funny. During the day his flesh is torn away and left with gray, eroding, stone in its wake, and through the night he assumes the role of part man, part monster. He could never venture far as his body gets hauled back to that damned Church corner.
He felt like a rat in Gotham's maze like alleys, with no way to get out. He only had until dawn to wander before he would be forced to play the part of a granite statue.
Tonight was just as mundane, Jason sat in his usual spot, kept company by a few lingering bats. He's learned to live with the irony. His large ears twitched at the sound of rustling leaves.
"More fucking grave robbers.." he muttered as he stretched out his stiff limbs.
He aired out his wings, giving them a flap or two before he let himself drop off the ledge, expertly gliding his way up before searching for the cause of the sound. Airborne he saw nothing, so he waited for another indication of the previous clamor.
"Ow... Damn thorns." you huffed, seated at the base of a tomb stone.
The tombstone. The largest in the graveyard. The one with his name, his legacy, and his tradgedy carved into it.
You picked at your palm where the bramble had nicked you, trying to force it out. Jason and his hallow beady eyes scanned from above. This was no grave robber, it was the freak visiting the graveyard in the middle of the night, alone, again. It didn't seem like you were doing anything wrong, you were just sitting there, skimming your way through some newspapers. His gaze shifted to your injured hand fumbling with your jacket, in an attempt to pull it closer to your neck to guard against Gotham's unforgiving frost. In an instant he stood before you.
"Fuck! You again? You scared me, asshole."
"Kinda comes with the monster get-up." he sneered.
You patted the spot beside you and scooted over to make room for the winged-beast. He lugged his heavy legs through the wet weeds and sat beside you. He leaned over to see what you were looking at- articles- about him.
"What's with your sudden interest in this guy? I'm starting to get jealous." he tried to force a joke as he laid his head atop of yours.
His eyes strained against the withered newspaper and images of his pre-pubescent self.
"Just looking through some cold cases. I used to go to highschool with this guy. We had homeroom together. He seemed nice enough. Wish I got to talk to him more before..."
"He died."
"Yeah."
Silence eclipsed the already eerie graveyard. Jason's mind wracked as to why you're so interested in his case. Maybe you've figure out that it's him? if that were the case, you seem to be handling it well. There also might've been a point in time where you both could've met earlier, under different circumstances.
"Hey J, I know you're a monster and all, but what do you think it's like to die?"
"Scary."
"...That's it?"
"That's all you can feel in that situation."
You look at him, your gaze soft, "Sounds like you're talking from experience."
"That'd be crazy." he teased, mumbling into your hair.
His arm wrapped around your waist and pulled you closer. You slowly folded the newspaper and put it off to the side. You gently rubbed the base of the tomb stone and closed your eyes.
"What are you doing?"
"I don't know... Praying for him? I don't know if I can call it that. Maybe just hoping he's alright now."
"I'm sure he is."
You laid back closer to him, as you moved your hand that was rubbing the tombstone to trail across his gray, coarse skin.
"Will you ever die?"
"Will you?"
"That's a dumb question," you started, "Maybe one day you'll look over my grave too," you tried to banter.
Jason's grip on you tightened, "I won't. So don't talk like that."
"Sorry."
Even the thought of him being alone scared him. Worse than the lingering echo of Joker's laugh. You were his only solace as a sentient stone statue, and even then he only had you once a week. It was hard to carve out late night graveyard time in your schedule. With you, Jason almost feels human again, he gets to experience warmth that he never had the chance to as a kid- or as Robin.
He knows he is sin, he might be blasphamy himself, but he can't help but crave corrupting every part of you. And maybe tangling your fates will bind your soul to his deshiveled pride. Maybe that will damn you to spend the rest of eternity by his side. He doesn't know if he's able to think that far ahead.
"Don't apologize... Just.. stay.." he breathed with all the potency he could, hoping it would latch onto you.
He knows he's sentient stone and that it's not fair to want what so many souls in this world aren't fortunate enough to grasp. But if hell can execrate him to his beastly form, then he can choose to play the part as intended. He'll ward off whatever dares to lace their existence with yours.

If there was anything that you knew about him, it was that he was stubborn. It's not like you knew much about him to be fair, other than that he was a zombie of your own. You didn't know his real name, the best you could make out was "Graah" when he talked, so "Gray" it was. You didn't know he was the vigilante, Night Wing, before the outbreak; or that he was, Dick Grayson, your celebrity crush; no matter how many times he tried to tell you. Right now he was leaving wet kisses anywhere he could reach. He kept you caged between his large arms and the couch, occasonally nuzzling into you.
Affection between the two of you like this became the norm, but he knew better than to exchange his fluids with any openings on your body, no matter how much he wanted to.
"Gray! Give me room to breathe, damn!" you laughed, as you finally pushed him off.
He rested his chin above your head but still held you close. You tried to catch your breath and settle. Having someone during the apocolypse definently made things easier. Sure you wouldn't get much of a response back when you talked, but atleast you had a listener. It was an added bonus having a warm body to sleep next to.
It made things easier on Dick too. He needed to have somebody by him, he's never been good at being alone.
At first he thought total score when he saw all the posters of him around your base, but no amount of him pointing at Dick Grayson then himself, going "Me... Meee... Saamee.!" got it to click for you.
Now he just stares at the posters in envy as you gush about finding and saving him.
You always notice his damped mood as he retreats for the couch. You walk up to him and press a kiss or two to his head, "You may be no Dick Grayson, but you're pretty high up there for being a zombie".
He lets out what you assume is his version of a laugh and wraps his arms around your waist, burying his face into your chest, "Silly..."

"Jay I mean it get off." you warned as you tried to get him off you.
He wasn't taking you seriously, and instead pulled you flush against his chest. Jason wasn't needy by any means, but he had his moments where he wouldn't let up.
You had just gotten injured after fighting off a few zombies, he hadn't paid attention and let one get too close to you. Your wound wasn't from the zombie itsself, but it knocking a display case onto your arm. The crash forced Jason's gaze over, he saw you wince in pain, and that was all it took before he chose to slam into the nearby zombie rather than use his gun. He lifted the case off you and stared. He didn't want to get close. Your gash was pretty nasty and any mixing of fluid would have you as undead as he was.
He searched around and found some rubber gloves before tending to your wound. He lifted you and placed you in the shopping cart along with the rest of your grocery haul. He pushed you back to the base. Since then he's been more attentive. refusing to let you out of his sight when you're out. When you try to argue you're met with a barage of grumbles, groans, and grunts.
Right now he was trying to keep you in bed, and for whatever reason, you couldn't figure out why.
"Jay let me go." you tried again, calling him by the name he'd given you way back when. Maybe then he didn't trust you, or now he's too lazy to correct you, but you've always known him as Jay. Stubborn, large, grouchy, Jay.

He hasn't spoken to you since. Hell, he didn't even speak to you when you delivered the news. He stared at you, then looked to the floor for a split second before he returned his gaze to you. You saw his jaw clench, you knew it wasn't just out of anger. Riddle has always been emotional, you knew he was trying to stop the tears before they flooded out. He knew you knew he was close to crying. So to save face, he harshly turned around and quickly stormed off. He wanted to get as far away as possible from everything. Since then, you have never locked eyes with him. He busied himself with more work, more event planning, more students to discipline, and more rules to enforce. You'll never actually see him around anymore. You'll see glimpses of what you thought was blurred red hair out of the corner of your eye, but nothing more. He still sends polite smiles your way whenever you pass eachother in the halls. He still throws out a joke or two when the silence becomes too much. He still leaves baskets of baked goods on Ramshackle's doorsteps because he knows "how much Grimm loves them". To everyone else it seems like things ended smoothly, but they aren't there at the ass crack of dawn when he sits on the edge of his bed with his face buried in his shaky hands.

all the crisp photos of the spell drive players, the leaked dates of tests, the gossip, sam’s stock. how’s one person able to get the news before anyone else is? no way azul would sign a contract with them, plus even azul doesn’t have access to all this info. if only he had some sneaky eels who love to be as slippery as they are in the water, above ground. or a few ghost friends able to go through walls and overhear things they probably shouldn’t. maybe sam IS in on it, wanting to spread awareness about his goods so he makes profit. even a cat small enough to sneak around when bribed with enough tuna could help out. plus a killer camera from the headmaster. maybe crowley knows what’s going on but is letting things play out. so far it hasn’t gone too far. plus. who would suspect the prefect from another dimension? they have a hard enough time as is. no way they’d be able to keep up.

the beginning of your relationship was perfect. how could it not be? sure he was a busy man, but he always had time for you, your ever worry and insecurity was tended to by a barrage of sickly sweet words and countless kisses that left burns in their place. whenever his work did take up a lot of his time, you'd find your shared room littered with gifts and flowers in his absence. dinners together were extra special, spending quiet evenings with the love of your life chatting about his busy day, though the details seem blurred and the conversation seems vague. but sometimes the details would blur further, and the conversating would get vaguer and vaguer and when you'd wake up the next morning he'd be gone. no text, no note, no good morning goodbye. and it wouldn't be until late last night you'd talk with him again. you'd ask where he'd been as it's been so late but you're only met with "work took longer than expected". by then dinner's cold and he isn't in the mood. he heads to his study for the rest of the night. his mood only seems to sour for the next few days seeming to distance himself further. whenever you confront him about it he only acts annoyed saying that you're overexaggerating and are just imagining things. you're crazy, and so unthankful for everything he does for you. everyday it seems like your lover is becoming more of a stranger, and any attempt at affection is futile. days will pass and he'll find you tear stained in your shared room. he'll walk up to you and engulfing you in his arms, pulling you close to his chest where he'll say that work has just been too stressful and he's been so busy. he's right, he's a busy man. it was selfish of you to not think of that. his sickly sweet words reappear along with those kisses that feel so hot against your skin, you swear it feels as if your skin is scorching and itching for you to get away, like a rash. but the longer he keeps at, the more you'll numb to the feeling, repeating the cycle. "if things go too far i can always leave". he tries to get back at you, choosing to ignore you too and attempt to distance himself for days on end, only to end up crawling back to you. he can't help it, your love feels too good. the anger he feels when you pretend nothing is different, and the way you'll spin it to make it seem like he's the bad guy, not respecting your boundaries and constantly expecting more from you, it makes him question himself. is he in the wrong? it's not your fault if you're tired sometimes, everyone has their days. he'll calm down and by the end of the week you'll be back to your lovey dovey self. when you do he's clinging to you, you brush it off with a chuckle but he's serious. he needs you. he’s terrified of when you’ll start to ignore him so he’s walking on eggshells around you, holding you closer each night needing to feel you flush against him. he makes you tell him you love him over and over again, he needs to hear it, he needs to know it’s worth it to stay with you. he falls himself going crazier with every time you distance yourself, did he go too far, was he too clingy, is there someone else in the picture? there couldn’t be, you told him you loved him just last night. you wouldn’t lie to your beloved right that, especially to his face during such an intimate moment. his love for you turns obsessive, why can’t you love him the way he loves you? he can feel himself needing you more and more everyday, growing far more reliant on you and your touch. your mood seems to determine his, and his reactions with others, you’re all he’ll ever need.

Normally, the air of the Shade Ridge was thick yet as you climbed one of the twin peaks stationed North of the bay, the air would thin. There wasn't any human stupid enough to venture there in the dark of the Jinzhou night. Though the stars illuminated the sky, for a human it would be hard to see further than a couple feet ahead of you.
The rocky stairs, worn and eroded, would crumble further as heavy eager steps stomped higher and higher, taking pauses in between every few feet to ensure they wouldn't fall off the steep edge. Usually that wouldn't be much of a problem, as what's plummeting to a being with wings? However the growing fear of ruining a gift for someone you cherish can ensure you take your time and pace yourself to mitigate the chances of ruin.
A soft hum can be heard from the top, a somber song, yet still out of vision. The curve of the stairs along the mountains paired with that damn device placed by mortals, a Resonance Beacon, I believe they're called, blocks the view of the gazebo from which the melody came.
The steps quicken, though only glowing heavier and right as they reach the top a sharp breathe is taken in and a loud:
“MY LOVE!” is let out.
The hum ceases and instead turns to a chuckle, "Someone's late."
Crownless huffs, picnic basket in hand, "Only by a few minutes..."
"Twenty. Your tacet field is far closer to here than my domain."
"I just wanted to make sure everything was perfect for my lovely wife." a pout present on Crownless' 'lips'.
She smiles "Is that so, my dear? What's in your basket?"
Excitement fills him, "Items for a pic-i-nic!"
"A pic-i-nic?"
"Mortals have them with those they love."
"How quaint... What does it entail?" Dreamless, being quite intrigued, asks.
He lays the basket on the ground, and gently picks up the table and chairs underneath the gazebo. He tosses them off the side of the cliff down into the water below, spooking the nearby cats that give him a look of 'what the fuck?'.
He crouches down and opens the basket, his wife looking with an amused smile, as he pulls out a large blanket. He centers it beneath the gazebo shuffling on his hands and knees. The wind picks up, threatening to blow his hard work away, with a groan he places a few rocks and the basket itself atop the blanket to keep it in place.
He pulls out a few candles and lights them with his candle lighting powers, setting them along the blanket, careful to not set the ground on fire. Lastly he pulls out a large bouquet.
"There!" He quickly stands up with a large grin. He walks towards Dreamless and grabs her hand, placing a soft kiss to the back of it, "For you my beloved.” He smiles, handing her the bouquet.
Dreamless presses a kiss to his cheek, "What a charmer," she rolls her eyes, a soft smile on her lips as she pulls the bouquet to her chest. Crownless leads her to sit down. Holding onto her to lower her down, he follows suit, settling right beside her.
He kisses her shoulder then nuzzles into her, and grins. Crownless turns to the basket and pulls out a few echos on a platter, and a bottle of some kind of liquid.
When he finishes laying out the picnic, he smiles at his wife, expecting some kind of praise.
Dreamless cups his face “Aww… How sweet. My husband did this all for me?”
He nods sinking lower as he wraps his arms around his waist, resting his head on her chest as he looks up at her.
“Thank you, angel. I love it. It’s perfect.” She chuckles as she sets the bouquet beside her and pulls him closer. She lays his head on her lap and begins to stroke his head, continuing her humming from earlier as she gazes into the Jinzhou night.
