Animals with greater longevity tend to have lower resting heart rates, so I imagine elves hearts would beat slower than humans’. And they probably wouldn’t have any congenital cardiac defects like arrhythmias that may reduce life expectancy.

I thought the same, that makes sense. I imagine an elf with defects not caused by battle injury is extremely rare.

I'm actually someone who has no idea what to ask and just listens to what other people ask and then come up with a question 10 minutes after the panel or so. I only knew Dean what to ask at HobbitCon because people at Tumblr asked for it xD

*cough*Tauriel*cough*SansaStark*cough*JaneFoster*. You must idolise them or else you're a misogynist, there is no middle ground. That kind of crap from a fandom actually ends up putting me off characters I liked.

Yes, all of this. Especially with characters who DO get a lot of sexist crap, like those three. But my god, this trend of going the opposite way and refusing to accept any critique on the grounds that it's all categorically misogynist is really off-putting.

(Having refused to watch the second installment of The Hobbit, my opinion of Tauriel as a character is pretty much neutral. Yet in trying to explain "I dislike / won't watch the movies because off all the added things and dissonant tone" gained me a bunch of responses along the lines of, "You don't like Tauriel for sexist reasons and you're trying to mask it by pretending to be a book purist!" Oh, tumblr.)
