Any time is the perfect time for good food. As in tastes good, because according to Connor, and she quotes, he wouldn’t call pizza lovely. Quite frankly, he sounded a lot like someone she used to know, and she didn’t want a lecture on why whatever it is that she’s eating is healthy or not. For the most part, she had nothing to worry about. This body is not flesh and blood.
Alita already had her mouth stuffed with a big bite of the first slice of pizza, so her initial response to his quick second lesson on why it wasn’t lovely, was just a childish pout with her eyebrows knitted together. The scowl upon her features was enough to say she wasn’t pleased. Perhaps she could have ordered a smaller size but she was starved and it just looked so good. And smelled good. And tasted good. So she got a large instead.
How anybody of her size could manage to finish over an entire large sized pizza all their own is a mystery, but, again, this body is not flesh and blood so maybe that had something to do with her appetite. This may not be the best choice of food for anyone to eat; even a total replacement cyborg. Ido always told her she needed proper nourishment for her brain.
After she swallowed, she leaned back in the chair and then spoke back. “I don’t need a lecture on any of the food that I touch. It tastes great so, nothing else matters.” Not the best word of reasoning but it’s all she had. “I won’t let that stop me.” A wide smile made it’s return upon her lips, she shrugged her shoulders and took another bite.
