Ok for real now after he actually regained consciousness/some mobility/etc.: he was really kinda out of it because like, waking up after expecting to never wake up again! He probably ended up in the gardens a lot sitting amongst the flowers or sitting at the table staring at his plate of food like he’d never seen food before. He just spent a lot of time hobbling around taking in simple things and just getting used to the simple fact that he was alive again I guess.
5. What was their biggest struggle about adapting to the new place?
The lack of death-defying hundreds of kilometres an hour races and BOOST FIRING. Never being able to be with his friends and family again. I guess also figuring out how to live without being Falcon, because Falcon was such an essential part of his identity for so long?
If we’re talking physical struggles here, then figuring out how to get his mechanical body parts working again was a struggle. He probably had to consult a bunch of mages on it and ended up with his cyborg parts becoming more magic-powered. I do wonder if he has to get a mage to charge him like a battery or something for him to be able to move those parts…
7. Something they instantly hated about the place?
Bart agreed to be the Summoner, but he isn’t fond of the idea of dragging other people into your own messes, especially given his more independent style of operating as Falcon. He already had regrets about Ryu getting dragged into the whole “Chosen Saviour” thing, and summoning heroes seems kinda like that–dragging people who didn’t really have a say in it into a conflict because it’s “needed” for “the greater good”.
I feel like…if he summons a hero and they aren’t immediately hostile, then he lets Anna or whoever take them through the explanations and requests for help and stuff, but if they ask to be sent back (or refuse to stop attacking them) he’ll just send them back without asking her. It might be the only time he doesn’t defer to his “employer” in this whole Summoning business.
8. Did they make any early friends?
Well, if Ilyana was here she’d probably get attached to him for feeding her all the time lmao. He’s cordial but not overly close to Anna or Alfonse, though I imagine he likes Sharena slightly more just because of her boundless energy and friendliness.
Other than that, probably the early game healers just because of how much time he spent in the infirmary lmao (Sakura, Elise, Lissa, Maria, Wrys, etc.) Idk if he would find Azama funny or just roll with his acerbic comments.
Lachesis (I know she didn’t come until the sibling bonds banner but shh) lectured him a lot while she was healing him and I feel like her sternness and stubbornness with kindness underneath might have reminded him of Jody…he probably has a soft spot for her a tiny bit more than the other healers. (I swear I’m not saying this just bc I like Lachesis, I really do think Bart would latch onto remnants of the people he’s left behind in whatever ways he could.)

I answered this here but another possibility is he summons Lachesis first and after having some intense flashbacks to all her friends who died at Belhalla, Lachy gets his story out of him eventually and kicks his Entire Ass for keeping his sister in the dark for so long and abandoning her without even having a proper fucking conversation with her before he up and dies. Lachesis has Very Strong Opinions about brothers leaving their sisters behind in an attempt to protect them without considering the sister’s feelings :///

//Actually thanks to my hc of Andy being a cyborg now like his sister thanks to the first explosion back when they were both still regular cops...I have to wonder how the Askrans managed to fix his cybernetic parts when he got dumped in Askr post second explosion? I don't remember if they say much about how cyborgs work in the anime, so I'm not sure if any FE peeps would be able to repair those parts of him if they were very damaged.
If they DID manage to survive the Dark Reactor explosion enough to not be TOO damaged then Bart might be able to repair them himself, though he might have to direct someone with steady hands since it's probably hard to do it one-handed. I'm not sure how they're powered either, so he might also have to recruit some mages into helping. I hc that his right arm at LEAST (aka the one that produces an electric shock effect when he Falcon Punches Black Shadow) is a cybernetic, and probably more of his body as well since a large chunk of Jody's body is and she was the one who was SHIELDED by him during the police blast.
Either way, until he figures that out and also heals up the still-fleshy parts of his body he ain't gonna be on a battlefield any time soon ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ He's really more like a court mage almost, one who doesn't actually...go out...just sits at home and does his magic whenever they ask him to...
//Askr is the second time Andy has been brought back from the brink of death (and thus he owes his life to the ones who healed him). It’s partly a sense of obligation and partly his own need to help that leads to him becoming Falcon in his original universe, and to him becoming the Summoner in his Heroes AU.
He’s...pretty tired by the end of GP Legend, though he himself probably doesn’t even realize it. “Bart” was never really a fake personality--he would have been happy living as a café owner, race enthusiast, and guardian of Clank, maybe even racing sometimes just for the thrill of the race (and mentoring up-and-coming racers) instead of with Dark Million stakes on the line. But first he was a cop who was given the name of Falcon to uphold, and so he gave his life to doing so.
In Askr, of course he cares that people are dying in the war(s), but at the same time he’s an outsider here. He can’t really be the mentor anymore, because his main skills (racing, police work, also cooking) aren’t really all that helpful here. At the same time, he has an obligation to pay back the people who brought him here alive, so he kind of feels he has to stay and summon for them at least, if nothing else.
I imagine, though, that Anna is still the one actually in charge of the army, because...no army leading experience and also, he’s still kinda recovering from being exploded! He was also largely a solo worker before despite his collaborations with the Platoon, and that hasn’t changed. What he mostly does when they’re not asking him to summon is train (sometimes with the Heroes) in order to get his combat skills more suited to this world, study, and...staff the little snack tent-like thing he set up in the mess hall.
I imagine it’s like, just a long, high table with stools covered by a blue awning supported by poles, or something, but it’s as near to the Falcon House as he can get here. He feeds and listens to whoever stops by, and uses it as a way to remember the people and home he can no longer go back to.
I spent so much time trying to figure out how to make Falcon work in FEH land in general that I never really thought about like...what his reaction would be to the events of the main story or what his role in it would even be. Like...Hel??? Fairy dreamland??? He’s too old for this (ignoring the fact that he’s not even 50 yet, he feels old).
I know the story has the Summoner right there on the scene with their warriors, but Bart might not be capable of that depending on how much magic can do for his body’s condition. He doesn’t get bummed out about being useless or anything because things are what they are, he doesn’t regret the actions that led up to this ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ In the case that Askr works its weird magic and and restores his body to its healthy pre-death condition then yes he’ll come along.
I don’t know if he’d go for the whole white and gold hooded summoner getup but Bart is someone who actually is used to obscuring part of his face when he’s out and about. Inside the castle he’s more relaxed and doesn’t bother with a helmet or anything since it’s not like he has to keep the two identities (Bart vs. his masked persona) distinct and secret from the people he works with, but I doubt he’s told anyone about how Bart wasn’t his original name because...it never really comes up? He’s used to introducing himself as “Bart” and had been doing so for years before he died, going back to being “Andy” feels weird, particularly in this land where everyone who ever had a connection to Andy Summer is gone anyway.
