নিজস্ব সংবাদদাতা : বর্তমান পত্রিকার সম্পাদক শুভা দত্ত শেষনিশ্বাস ত্যাগ করলেন। কিছু দিন ধরে তিনি অসুস্থ ছিলেন। বাইপাসের ধারে একটি বেসরকারি হাসপাতালে ভর্তি ছিলেন। আজ সকাল ১০. ৪২টায় তাঁর মৃত্যু হয়। বর্তমানের প্রতিষ্ঠাতা সম্পাদক বরুণ সেনগুপ্তের বোন শুভা ২০৮ সালে দাদার মৃত্যুর পর সংবাদপত্রের দায়িত্ব নেন। মুখ্যমন্ত্রী মমতা বন্দ্যোপাধ্যায় শুভা দত্তের প্রয়াণে এক বার্তায় বলেন, আমি গভীর শোক প্রকাশ করছি। আজ কলকাতার এক বেসরকারি হাসপাতালে তিনি প্রয়াত হন। ‘বর্তমান’-এর প্রতিষ্ঠাতা বরুণদার পর শুভাদি ছিলেন। তাঁর বলিষ্ঠ নেতৃত্বে ‘বর্তমান’ আজ এই জায়গায় পৌঁছেছে। শুভাদির সঙ্গে আমার নিয়মিত যোগাযোগ হত। উনি আমাকে খুব স্নেহ করতেন। তাঁর চলে যাওয়া আমার কাছে এক অপূরণীয় ক্ষতি। আমি ‘বর্তমান’ সংবাদপত্রের অনুরাগী, পাঠক, পরিবারের সদস্য বিশেষ করে রূপাঞ্জনা, বিবেক, অভিজিৎ, মঞ্জিমাকে গভীর সমবেদনা জানাচ্ছি। প্রদেশ কংগ্রেস সভাপতি সোমেন মিত্র ‘বর্তমান’ পত্রিকার সম্পাদক শুভা দত্তের জীবনাবসানে জানান, গণতন্ত্রের চতুর্থ স্তম্ভের প্রতি আমৃত্যু দায়বদ্ধ শুভা দত্তের শোকসন্তপ্ত পরিবারবর্গ তথা ‘বর্তমান’ পত্রিকা পরিবারের সকল শোকাহত সদস্যবর্গের প্রতি জানাই আন্তরিক সমবেদনা।
