the bar was seeing its busiest day today. both mikey and kit had been working their asses off for hours, but michael couldn’t say he minded. he got to spend more time with kit—even under these circumstances.
his gaze surfs through the crowd and accidentally lands on a dude that must’ve been starring at kit for at least an hour. he leans close to his boyfriend’s ear, slightly irritated. “see that scruffy lookin’ guy over there? red shirt? i think he’s into you...do i bash his head in?”

kin smiled, sliding into the seat next to the other.

dante spits before standing. he pushes kit back down and jumps over the barricade--at least a dozen cops threatening to shoot him. as soon as the first bullet fires, red fills into dante’s eyes and a shield of the same color forms in front of both him and kit. he seems to struggle to hold on--refusing to kill innocent people. instead, he screams “SOMNUS” and the men slowly drop to the floor, one after the other.

he’d been off the radar for nearly two months. it was only natural that the first thing he’d want to do when he came back would be to see kit. he stood at the bar’s entrance, his arms crossed as he leaned against the door frame with a smirk.
