I am officially pissed off. Recently I’ve seen tons of people criticizing Messi every time Barcelona lost a game (and there were a lot of them). And I don’t get it. They blame him for not scoring (for other players not scoring), for walking, and for being a bad captain… The list goes on.

Even after the last game with Cadiz. We had obvious mistakes made by the defense, but still there are a lot of comments, blaming Leo for the result. They demand Koeman to bench him or the club to get rid of him. But BIG NEWS! He wanted to leave. He tried to leave. People said he was too old and finished. They claimed he had to leave in order to give the young ones a chance. Well, Pedri is playing. Ansu had played until he got injured. Mingueza has got his chance. So how is that Messi’s fault again?

But still. The guy wanted to leave. The club said no, so he stayed. Just imagine. He wasn’t happy at the club. He realized that he and the club would be better off if he left. And when they had denied him, he stayed. And the thing is, the guy won the last Ballon d’or. He had been chosen as the best player in the world more times than anyone else. You can’t lose that overnight. The class, the physique, the skills… you can’t just lose them. However, you can lose your confidence. You can be in a such bad place mentally, that it will affect your performance. So knowing that he is in a bad place, that he’s miserable, the “fans” put more pressure on him by criticizing his every move and blaming him for every problem the club has. Yay, guys! That will definitely help! Now he’ll perform better. Thank you!

Let’s admit that he’s stuck in Barca until the summer. So the best thing the fans can actually do to help the team is to support him and his teammates. Because even though we got rid of Bartomeu, we still have to deal with all the mess he left. Stupid transfers, economic crisis, etc. We still have players that we ultimately didn’t need to sign in the first place. And now we have a bunch of footballers, who play in the same position, and the lack of defenders. Plus, the team has got almost zero chemistry. Koeman has to work with what he’s got. However, people are still expecting Barca to be the best club in the world. How?

If you ask me, in a perfect world, I would love to see Leo retiring at Barca. That would be a perfect ending to the story. However, right now, I almost wish he goes to PSG, Manchester City – doesn’t matter – when the season is over and destroys Barca next year. Like scores a hat-trick or something. Just so the fans can realize that having the best football player in the world in you team is an asset that you should cherish and use wisely and not make him hate the club he’s spent all his life playing for.

Some ppl have to understand that you can love and support Messi and Barca at the same time in this situation ... I mean Messi said everything which fans were telling all year, lack of young players, lack of planning, unenjoyable football. Meanwhile Bartomeu is accused of corruption... I just realized that I feel the same way toward the Messi Barca saga as I felt when Kris left EXO ... It's pain.

Messi deserves everything from Barca bc he gave everything to Barca what he could and you can see fans turning their back on him. And it's so painful to see. I think it would help if Messi would speak up, but maybe his lawyers insisted that it's better if don't bc if this gets uglier and they take him to the court it could be a disadvantage, or I don't know. I just want this to end.

I want Barto and his board to leave my club alone.
