Snickers
It’s the London Marathon weekend and the streets around Tower Bridge are empty. I know it’s an institution - raising more than £1bn for charities - but I can’t think of anything more dull than watching a bunch of people jogging. Perhaps if I knew someone participating, there would be around 60 seconds of fun as they approached, waved and trudged by. Not a day’s worth of fun. If the organisers added a twist, like a water fight between the spectators on either side of the road - or a paintball shoot-out - with the runners passing between - then we’d have something close to fun breaking out. Also, I remember when Snickers was called Marathon. Much better times.
