Painting silicone
Looking at the different options when it comes to colouring silicone, found from my experimentation that silicone pretty much only sticks to itself so will need to add pigment into silicone before casting and figure out a good quantity to get a skin tone. Or buy very expensive silicone base and paint, mostly the shipping that catches me out, nearly as much money as the actual product! I think I will buy pigment and experiment with this before buying any silicone paints as they are much cheaper and probably in larger supply.

Tip: Yes, this [the base paint] is necessary for painting finished silicone projects. It will dry to a high gloss shine, but you can eliminate that (if you don't want it) by dusting your project with powdered sugar while it's still tacky.
