Ok let’s just imagine Calum is a Major League Baseball player—a revered shortstop—and single father. As much as he’d be raising his daughter on his own he’d always have his team around him for support. They would all adore her and help in any way they could. She’d have toddler size jerseys of every player on the team but wear Calum’s for every game she was at. She’d even travel with the team, Calum not willing to leave her with anyone else, unless Mali or his parents were around. And if she was with her aunt or grandparents during a trip Calum would make sure to wave to her from the dugout and say he loves her during televised interviews. When she’s with him she’d sit in his lap at every post game press conference and the media would love her. Calum would always redirect questions for him to her and she’d babble and he wouldn’t have to answer questions about rivalries or errors. Balancing fatherhood with a professional sports career would be tough at times but he’d always figure it out. She’d be the light of his life and the reason for everything he does.
