Punz! Now that spring training is almost over, what’s been goin on at Astros camp? I know about the Altuve injury. What else to report? Any new guys making an impression to break camp with team? How’s Abreu lookin? Worried about replacing Verlander? What do you think of the new GM hire? Getting excited for the season!!

Embarrassingly, I haven’t been very tuned in to Astros spring training or active on the Astros Reddit lately 🙈 Work and life have just kept me so busy- buuuuut it’s almost opening day and I know I’ll be in full on baseball mode soon enough!

I’m interested to see what happens with Hunter Brown and if Forest Whitley finally makes his major league debut. I think Abreu was definitely the right decision, though I do miss Yuli. Mixed feelings about Verlander, but I know that was the right decision. I’d feel a lot more confident if LMJ was healthy and ready to go. I’m excited for our new GM and hopeful that he can extend Tucker and Framber. I was was really pleased with Javier’s deal and I’m excited to have him around 🥰 Now we just need Michael Brantley healthy and for them to figure out WHAT is going on with Yordan’s hands 🙄😂

Verlander to the DL but seems like it’s positive news overall. More tissue related then in the calf muscle. Might be a blessing for him to get a couple week rest, be fresh for postseason
