💙🖤Life’s Little Twists – First Gen Update 💙🖤
It's time to kick off the Life’s Little Twists challenge, and I’m starting with the very first generation! 🎉 As you may remember, the whole idea of this challenge is to blend quirks, drama, and a few surprises to make the journey memorable—while keeping things simple, with only the base game needed. 🎮
✨ First Generation: "The Way to the Heart" ✨
Meet Salomena Knox, our ambitious Entertainer, driven by dreams of making it big in comedy. And so begins a story filled with love, laughter, and some serious career goals.
📝 The Rules for this Gen:
Start your career as an Entertainer.
At Level 4, host a party, perform a comedy act, and meet your future spouse, the Caterer.
Once married, no cooking for you! Only eat food prepared by your spouse. 🍴
Max out the Comedy, Charisma, and Writing skills.
Complete the Entertainer career (Comedian branch) and achieve the Joke Star aspiration.
Have one child, and name them using a random name generator (talk about leaving it up to fate!).
🎭 Traits: Self-assured, Slob, Cheerful
🎨 Colors: Blue and Black
🏆 Goals: Comedy + Cooking = A Life Full of Laughter and Love
I’ve also been putting a lot of thought into Salomena’s wardrobe. 😂 I spent so much time in CAS that my boyfriend jokingly asked, “Are you still making that same sim?” Ha! Guess that means Salomena’s getting a lot of attention, huh? 😜
Now, about her life. Salomena inherited a house from her father, and while it’s nothing extravagant, it’s definitely a cozy spot to start her journey. First things first—she wants to give the place a fresh coat of paint and make a few changes to make it feel more like home. (A small touch of change to represent the new chapter she’s about to begin!)
Next up, I began working on the furnishings for her house, and of course, I started with the kitchen! 😂 I always seem to begin with the kitchen when building. The color? Blue and Black, of course! Because that's the theme for this generation, and let me tell you, I never knew how many shades of blue there actually are. I even downloaded the Coolors Custom Palette Wallpaper from CCBriekel, and wow, there are so many amazing shades of blue to choose from! To make sure the walls weren’t too monotonous, I also added a Magic Garden wallpaper from MrOpossum, where you can find a big selection of wallpapers. It's a small touch, but it definitely adds some character to the place! 🌸
And guess what? I finally found a place for that gorgeous Celestial rug (Celestial Rug from Samtuse963) I've been hoarding! 🌟 t's now proudly displayed in the hallway, which ties together perfectly with the new paintings from Emblema Paintings by SIMcredible I added. The hallway looks so vibrant now, and I couldn’t be happier with how everything is coming together!
But decor aside—time to talk gameplay! I’m officially starting my Life’s Little Twists challenge with my lovely founder, Salomena, and of course, she’s already being dramatic. 😅
She just started her job in the Entertainer career, trying to get those sweet promotions... and on her first day at work, she comes home with a limp leg?! 💀
(Thanks to adeepindigo’s BG Health System—my new favorite mod that adds realistic illnesses, injuries, and chaos.)
So, what did I do? Sent her to the doctor immediately.
Turns out... "The injury is more serious than it looks. Salomena needs surgery."
Excuse me??? I nearly passed out.
Anyway—painkillers, bandages, and straight to bed she went 🛌
The next day, she was still limping around with a post-surgery debuff, but she got a promotion! 🥳
And that’s when she was told to learn to play the guitar or violin.
Cool, right? Except the game hits me with a pop-up that says:
"Salomena dislikes playing the guitar."
Of course. OF. COURSE.
Now, usually I click “No” and ignore it, but this challenge is all about stepping outside my comfort zone. So I clicked “Yes.”
...Then I sold the guitar and bought her a violin instead. 😏🎻
The goal is to reach level 4 in the career, because that’s when she’s supposed to meet her future husband 👀 So fingers crossed her leg heals fast, and that she doesn’t hate the violin too much.
