Posting both of these rejection emails because I know that a dream delayed is not a dream denied. I know my God, and I know that this is just redirection, I trust in God's plan for me. Ngaze ngakhala bandla. I pray that in a couple of years I can look back at this and laugh.

Homage to Claire Hennessy.
I’ve wanted to write this so many times but it just never flowed right and now i think i can do it.
The book:Nothing tastes as good
So you see i was initially attracted to the spine because of the measuring tape on the side to be honest, because like every other teenage girl, body image was sort of like the flavor of the month.
I clearly took the book for wrong reasons, the blurb just added to my desire in my perception it could just add to the weight loss i was seeking.
The book is not a typical YA book where the main character ends up being paired off with someone who they desire or someone who they never acknowledged,up until the point the ‘rose tinted glasses’ come off.
This book actually made me realize the severity of self image as a social issue. This is the type of book that leaves you puzzled at the end because you didn’t see it coming and feeling warm. This shows you two different perspectives on food.
The book does not only have two female main characters, who both have different perspectives but also different lives and the drive each one holds is impeccable even though its for the wrong reasons. They’re both round characters because they both develop in the end of the book and one day i hope that I would’ve achieved my goal of reading the book back to front and watching the both of them self destruct in the worst way.
I know i might not have given the longest of book reviews or the most interesting but what I do know is that I hope that one day there will be books that address more than what meets the eye.
And we all have the voice in the back of our minds and it just happens to be that Julia’s one happens to be Annabel
