This movie really has integrated English lines better than any other Chinese film thing I’ve seen even though like I know that’s not saying much

The lines just. Actually sound like people speaking normally. A Ning and Xiaoge sound like they’re doing their own lines. Hendrix sounds like he’s doing his own lines. The voices match the lips enough to not be jarring. No one sounds like a weird jarring recording. A lot of the lines Are in English, and it’s actually throwing me off Because it sounds fine and I’m used to like... some really weird English in cdramas (like the bizarre dubbing in My Roommates a Detective...)

Also. Pretty sure Xiaoge is THE main character in this movie. This story is about HIM
