Repost from another seed-loving Owen (@annapolis_seeds)! We were given our Kusa seeds from our Palestinian chef friend @ananzahr. Glad to see they’ve made their way to Nova Scotia and that they are doing so well! Owen says: “They’ve grown into the lushest, most vibrant row on the whole farm!” Here’s the post: . It’s one of my favourite seasons; give your friends a zucchini season. No visitors have been allowed to leave the farm without one lately. . This is the Palestinian Kusa! A new variety on the farm this season, thanks @seedkeeping for sharing the seeds with us. Kusa are the Middle Eastern cousin of the Italian zucchini. They’re delicious in many of the same ways. I hear stuffing and roasting them when small is the preferred method, although I’ve been enjoying them at this slightly larger size. . . . . . #summersquash #kusasquash #heirloomsquash #squashblossom #basketofsquash #zucchini #seedsaving #annapolisvalley #atlanticgrownseed #organicgardening #vegetablegardening #heirloomseeds https://www.instagram.com/p/B1RgT_uA5n8/?igshid=1adk89zlm54gt
