Exasperation
It was the fourth day of the Summer Banquet. On the previous day, Nieves felt far too uncomfortable after having dealt with Lord Sol, that she spent the entire day researching and playing with Cristal instead.
Today, they had planned to do the very same thing. Even Haydée had agreed to join them this time. As the three of them rounded the corner to the library, a tall haughty woman in a beautiful ball gown waited for them. Her pearly white hair gracefully draped around her shoulders.
“Mother,” Nieves gasped.
