This is the first time I ever seen you change your icon. Did you let Em take over your account?
Nnnoooo... but some of her influence may be involved.

Your opinion on fanfiction
It is an absolutely necessary part of growing as a writer, and I will stand by that until the day I die.
I know there’s a lot of back and forth on the topic, and I’m no expert or even a loud voice, but if artists learn by tracing and using stock photos and musicians learn by replaying their favorite songs over, why on earth is it seen as something shameful for authors to cut their teeth on fanfictions? I can tell you there’s a lot of sexism in that answer I’m not going to get into, but you have to start somewhere! And most of us start in one fandom or another.
Fanfiction and the community surrounding it is such a great way for someone to learn technique, hone their craft, and develop their own literary voice (while also gaining a readership), three things that are vital to writing successful stories (and three things someone needs to teach a lot of published authors <_<). And they rare learning all these crafts while basically playing in a safe (for the most part) sandbox with premade characters. It’s like playing Sims. You’ve got a template already made so go create your world and see what happens!
I proudly admit I honed my skills writing fanfictions.

@basssuperpower reblogged your post “Frozen Fandom Handwriting Challenge Day 11: Hopes for Frozen 2!...” and added:
Yes! I agree with all of these, especially making Kristoff as important to the plot as the sisters instead of just a romantic interest for Anna.
Yeah, exactly. He can be a romantic interest, too, but it'd be nice if they gave him more to do than that. Flesh out his backstory a bit, maybe. Maybe even introduce some of the Hidden Folk stuff from the musical. Lots of things they could do.
@shardsofarendelle replied to your photo:
As someone who has “shards” in their username, I feel called out. 😉
Oh, Em, you know I don't mean you. 😅 Unless “hit Anna with a mirror shard and turn her against Elsa” is a plot point in one of your unwritten stories. (In which case I mean no offense.) Once (pun!) was painful enough, is all I’m saying.
Mars brown, Green light, Green
(watercolor asks)
mars brown; what’s a movie that always puts a smile on your face/makes you laugh?
Too many to possibly name them all. One that comes to mind for the former category is the film versionof The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe.
green light; are you in a comfortable place in life? if not, what do you think might make it better?
Not really. No job, no GF, and very stuck at home. I don’t know what could make it better. (Well, I do, but it doesn’t seem very likely.)
green; name three countries you want to visit; do you have any actual plans in place to visit any of them?
Canada, Scotland, Norway. No money = no plans. I can’t even afford to travel cross-country, let alone out of it.
Happy birthday!
Thanks, Daniel! 😁
10 - 17
10- While I’ve had that solid, ‘Woah I need this person in my life’ feeling three times upon first seeing someone (fun fact all three of these people are still among my best friends) that’s not love at first site, love takes work and needs to be reciprocated.
11- I don’t know, historically yeah eventually settling down and getting married was the dream. But lately the thought of sharing a life with someone is terrifying instead of comforting.
12- Not even a little. I generally have a three strikes policy with people when it comes to being shitty to me or people I care about friendship wise before I cut them off. With certain things being an instant dead to me. (Prime example, I just can’t associate with someone who has sexually assaulted anyone) Romantically I’d expect to have the same standards.
13- I am an incredibly jealous person, envious too.
14- No serious crushes at the moment. Same passive never going anywhere due to a lack of reciprocated attraction crush as has been there for like a decade and a couple of passive crushes on cute friends but nothing real or potentially reciprocated.
15- I used to have a cute eyebrow piercing in college. But nothing currently. Will probably pierce my ears sooner than later.
16- I wish. A good tattoo is out of my budget and I’m too indecisive to commit to anything too simple. I think I’d enjoy the actual process of getting a tattoo though, historically ever so slightly a bit of a masochist.
17- Public displays of affection isn’t one of my love languages. Kissing in general is great though.
What cons are you going to next year?
Not sure about next year, but this year we’re doing Katsu in plain clothes (Beth has a dress fitting and I don’t want to lug my packs around just yet), Awesome Con in DC (we’ll be debuting She-ra and Glimmer there and maybe taking the packs) and Baltimore Con. Might wind up doing a day at Fairfax Con because it’s so close to my house and the tickets are cheap.
