For the concept and design, my GM was inspired by by Nalo Hopkinson's novel Midnight Robber and Diane Dillon's cover art for it!

critters, besties, i did the math and cannot bear this knowledge alone

the max speed a skirmisher crawler can go per round is 180 feet or 54 meters, which is per round so every 6 seconds. that equates to a mere 32 km/h. (or fuckin 20 mph ig) these things are not as fast as they seem. 20 mph zones are in place around schools in the UK, to paint you a picture. i completely understand the need to implement these things into 5e properly without breaking a bunch of mechanics and will never take the piss in that regard but Matt sweetie... these things aren’t fast 😂😭

Bassuras, Marquet: Bassuras is a lawless city in the Hellcatch Valley, known for mechanical vehicles called crawlers, and de-facto run by the gangs who control access to them. It is the hometown of Ashton Greymoore, and Fresh Cut Grass also lived here for a time, prior to the founding of Bells Hells in Jrusar.

Yios, Marquet: I find the name Yios hard to say XD. It is a famously academic city in Aeshanadoor. The population is majority-orcish, and the city is built on terraces in the centre of a lake which glows with bioluminescent microfauna. Bells Hells visited while seeking information on the Ruby Vanguard.
