Lore help needed

I’ve decided. I’m flight changing sometime in the next month whether or not I have saved the 900kt for that next lair exp or not. If not then oh well, I can just save more and pay the non dom discounted price. So now I just need to empty these nests (of course a 5 and 4 egg nest happens) and work out how to transfer a very Light Flight embedded clan lore. 

Any suggestions on how dragons living in a fort in the Beacon of the Radiant Eye might find themselves moving to The Cloudsong? I’d like to keep the name Bastion if possible even though thats the name of the fortress. As a starting point I’m thinking of an airship-skyfort named The Bastion... maybe?

Does your clan have any designated roles for hunting, gathering, acquiring other goods? Do any dragons feel they are 'too good' to do these menial tasks? Who is the laziest dragon in the clan? Who is the most hardworking?

Darian is the clan’s best hunter, although he doesn’t always have as much time to go out and his previous hunting partner recently left the clan. When not at sea with the Vigilight Saber’s crew, Templar is quite adept at hunting and so will head out to acquire meat. The ‘traveller’ Tabus has been shouldering the hunting responsibility more and more and although he is technically not a member of the clan he has been visiting long enough that he might as well be.

Rhoswen is the clan’s very capable gardener, ensuring that fresh edible greens and also insects are available. There is a perpetual fish shortage and none of the clan are inclined towards fishing (much to the many Coatl dragons distress). 

Trade goods are primarily obtained by the Vigilight Sabers, a seafaring crew of “explorers and scavengers” (ok they’re pirates but shhhh) who bring home items of value for the market. Previously captained by Canale before he usurped the leadership of the entire clan, they are now lead by Specter.

The answer for “too good for these tasks” and “laziest” by far goes to Kyoei. Pampered by various suitors she will refuse to assist with any menial task and tends to spend her days lounging around being unpleasant unless someone is doting on her. 

The most hardworking is a shared effort between Darian, the consort of the former clan leader, and Vestri, who performs a sort of ‘quartermaster’ role for the clan. The two of them keep track of the day to day requirements of the clan, where shortages are and where repairs are needed, taking it upon themselves to keep the cogs turning no matter what.

I really need to work more on Perditas, Algol and Phirist’s story but I’m so pleased with how they’re looking. Phirist is waiting on an accent order to come in and Perditas and Algol are missing a couple of bits of their silks sets. Nearly done though! Shout out to @mibella-fr your layouts are perfect!!

Fionn and Dythemis

The inter-lair romance of two Imperials. ( Dythemis belongs to @cicadarising )

Cold and crisp, the still night held nothing but whispers of winter, silence only broken by the soft chirp of insects and scuffling of nocturnal creatures. In a secluded glade, sheltered from the road by sweeping willows, two imperials embrace in the moonlight. So desperately do they cling, one might assume they had been parted for an age. In truth it had only been a few days, yet the time apart was not borne well by either. Despite the chill, Fionn was warm and content, his handsome face pressed into the furs worn by his love, all the hardship of the day forgotten.

The wonder that someone so strong and beautiful would wish to spend time with him still amazed Fionn. No matter how bad things got, no matter how cruel his lair mates would be, the gentle imperial could not burden Dythemis with his troubles. All he needed was the other's comforting presence, warm body and loving eyes.

Linglan - Archaologist and Tomb Raider

Born in the Bastion to a traveling visitor and one of the clan's permanent residents, Linglan left the lair early along with her brothers. However the siblings soon split to go their separate ways and rather than finding a new lair to call home, she roamed from camp to camp of travelers, captivated by their tales of the realm. Curiosity became the lifeblood for Linglan and she soon found herself working for an archaeological excavation as a research assistant.

Intelligent and quick minded, she learned a great deal in her time with the dig, outstripping the other young dragons studying by her side and eventually set off on her own to find new discoveries. After many months of solo exploration the adventurous dragon found herself standing once again at the gates to the Bastion. By this time her mother had long since moved on to serve the Lightbringer and although she felt no bond with her father, the Vigilight clan was the only family she had. Depositing her collected treasures with old Vestri to do with as he pleased she took the time to rest her travel-worn bones.

During this time a new pair of dragons applied to join the clan. Although this was not an unusual occurrence, the newcomers were the topic of much whispered discussion. It wasn't every day that a notorious pirate and former assassin became members of the Vigilight clan. Canale and his mate Preveza were treated with a fair amount of suspicion by many of the lair residents. However Linglan had not heard of the pair, delving into ruined temples not being the best source of gossip. 

The coatl found herself sitting with them on their first night and the three shared stories of their adventures until late in the evening. It was soon decided that the adventurous dragons, all who had sought the refuge of the Bastion to ease their world weary souls, would group together to form an expedition. Thus was the Vigilight Sabers born, under the leadership of Canale.
