theres a lot to be said about how gillion wouldve been super upfront about his experience in thje dunjon if chip and jay wouldve just asked at all about it .how its something apparently not notable enough to warrant him bringing it up on his own and that it only matters when chip and jay wonder . anyways im thinking about this because of the potential undersea arc we're getting and the possibility of gillion finally bringing it up because the elders are finally 'relevant' (to chip and jay) . i miss dugon . i dont do much in the way of riptide/jrwi ships (especially not the way most other people do . aroace voice) but i will say the angelstone wedding and the black sea wedding. those two always get me
hope in a hopeless place/time. the continuation of being true to yourself and letting yourself Be and indulge in things that are .arguably not the most important thing right now but it Matters and it shifts the vibe in a way thats like. sure i mean killing/dismantling the Terrible Way Things Are Right Now is important but god fucking damn it my allegiance to this person is somehow more important .
the world is .fucked up and broken and we're actively in an apocalyptic setting that may spell our end . but i love you . Also i think it's really good how the two weddings are kind of out of the blue? like.. Star and Zamia got married pretty much on a whim when Gillion suggested it, and it happened very soon after with hardly any hesitation on their part. Angelstone wedding technically wasn't a wedding-- it was just a proposal and a small celebration between the three of them, the only ones who cared and all they had in this world.
i think for most if not all of the jrwi campaigns that they boil down to love . i just also think that romantic love continuing to blossom in impossible times and .less than ideal times is really good. like. there are so many more important things to be doing, and people are relying on Us specifically to get the world back to its typical state/to dismantle some Higher Power that has fucked us all over, but.. i love you more . just for today I love you more than I love the entire world. just for today we can exist just the two of us, together and alone
