Stan
For a campaign that I ran in the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and Other Strangeness RPG, set in 1985 and taking place in Bay City, MI, and Detroit, MI.
Stan worked for Bat-Bat as his "guy in the chair" in the Batcave (the basement of some apartment building in Detroit), pretending to access ARPANET with the Bat Computer (a Commodore VIC-20 hooked up to an old TV). He also designed and sewed Bat-Bat's Batsuit, maintained the items for Bat-Bat's utility belt, cooked and cleaned, and made sure Bat-Bat didn't mistake any random citizens for supervillains. It was demeaning work, but he stayed on because the pay was good.
As a mutant sparrow, Bat-Bat dubbed him Sparrow Boy, a moniker Stan hated. He hated even more when our heroes derisively called him Robin ("My name is Stan! I'm a sparrow!") or Boy Wonder ("I'm 27!!").
