Bat-Journal - 5/24
I have been thinking on something I should these last few days. Zur En Arrh. The 'backup' Batman should my mind come under psychological attacks. I create him so I SHOULD understand everything about him.
But one part of him has alluded me until now. His color scheme.
Instead of Black or Blue or Grey, he chose a colorful pallet of Purple, Yellow, and Red. I question why ever since HE created his own suit. Even the sight of it makes my stomach weak and my head begin to hurt. After some thought into his creation and his rare appearances, I believe I have the answer.
Purple - It was an answer staring me in the face this whole time, and with a cheshire grin. Zur choose purple because of Joker. The first time Zur came out and took control in a public setting, it was against Joker. Maybe he is being sentimental? Or it's a warning to me? Or he just wants to make sure people know he is not me. He is not afraid of the madness...
Red - The color of Blood. Rage. Anger. He chose this as I choose when to let my anger out of the criminals of Gotham and when to be kind. Zur is pure anger. No filter. And he wants the world to know it.
Yellow - When I incorporate Yellow into the Batsuit, It is to show the light I am shining on the shadows of Gotham. It shows that Batman is the light and the good to makes the darkness go back to its depths. Zur seems to have twisted that concept. Instead of a light for good, it's a blinding light of bright colors to be seen. Not the shadow wielding Batman I am, but a brightly colored MONSTER of 'Justice'.
The worse part? I keep finding hints and small things of HIM around the cave. Purple batarangs. Designs for his suits and some robotics and code I can't crack. What is HE planning? And where? Iknow every inch and rock of this cave.... or so I thought...
I'll do another sweep of the cave tomorrow. Bruce Wayne is not needed. I will find your secret cave, Zur.
