Hey there ! I often use Photoscape when making batch icons, so I definitely know what you’re talking about. Unfortunately I don’t know of a solution for making sure you see her face, without some work beforehand. When I have screencaps where the person isn’t in the center, I use the Photoscape editor for rough cropping. I choose the screencaps, that I think won’t turn out fine in the batch editor, and crop them to my liking. It’s pretty quick with Photoscape, though. I use the cropping tool with 1:1 setting, hit enter to crop the area and click on save. I don’t touch the size or anything else, as the batch editor can do all the things for me instead. Once I’m done, I put them all in the batch editor and let it work for me. To make sure you don’t whitewash anyone, don’t hit brighten or bright. Using ‘Auto level’ and ‘deepen’ does a good job on remaining and enchanting the color for me. However I suggest playing around with the settings for the best result. I hope I helped !!
