Year 5 Ch 18 spoilers without context ▪🐍
Finally there’s the actual reason why Ava is setting all those people on fire. Busted.
Yeah that’s right, Sev, fear this one. She’ll set your sorry ass on fire eventually for all those tears and sleepless nights. Broken heart of a Slytherin witch is a dangerous thing to play with.
when your Potions Master crush is watching you^^^
“Right...”. (and I thought we just bonded...)
Upon hearing THAT QUESTION Ava’s tongue suddenly felt like lead. She thought to appease him like before, but it was clear that he would simply see through any lie, and if she were lucky, she would get a detention and 10 points taken off her.
Ava had to make a decision, and fast. Her Professor’s eyes were calculating and almost mocking her upfront.
This will not be dignified regardless of her explanation, and what else would she lose from telling the truth? Hagrid would probably never approach her, that was clear. But what else could be done? In any case, the ball was in Snape’s court. It’s now or never...
“It’s for Hagrid, professor. He asked me not to tell you that it is for him”, Ava started explaining clumsily. Why couldn’t she be her confident self just like she was around other teachers?
Suprisingly to her, he simply rolled his eyes at her words and commented on her poor intelligence. But then he almost smirked at her. That was something new.
“I appreciate your honesty. 10 points to Slytherin. I will continue to reward you for the insight into his future clandestine affairs.”
Something unreadable flashed for a second in Snape’s eyes. They almost softened at her. At least there was a glimpse of a genuine approval. Did he really want an informant?
So be it, Ava decided with finality. She thanked him with a smile. Of course, she will keep him informed.
( Poor Ava, miserable creature. What have you done to her, Sev? )
The girl who was supposed to proudly carry herself coming from the noble House of King, instead was simply scared; her hands balled into fists as if to contain her fear, and also frustration, plenty of it in fact. Why was it always her brother?
There was no point to fully cave in because Ava wanted to approach the unapproachable Professor to start with, since that duel disaster. She wouldn’t be able to stay away from this temptation for long, so why not now?
Besides, walking out of the class to rethink the strategy was too late. She knew she had his full attention as soon as she stepped through the doorway despite him ignoring her presence. The Professor was even more annoyed, she could tell...
So much for her staying focused on finding her brother, so that she could tell him off and on utilizing Weasley to open the blasted Vault and finally gaining those artifacts she was also after!
This wasn’t anyone’s fault but hers. Well, too late for that, too. She dared to quickly glance at Professor again as she started approaching him.
Ava had to solve the Snape problem first, if that even were solvable at all. She didn’t need to feign a thing as she cleared her throat to address him...
guuuurl, you’ve got a Condition (tm)
So you are interested in what’s going on in my mind then, Professor? It is NOT small, but it is as warped as they come, enter at risk.
(No, Ava has no idea that Severus is a Legilimens but she gets a distinct feeling as if he is staring into her soul. Her thoughts are simply too VOCAL to not hear them. I doubt that Professor is violating his pupil’s minds.)
