I just read your posts about being hurt by/losing interest in Peter Tork, and I wanted to let you know that though it was a different celebrity for me, I went through the exact same situation. I've never met Peter, but I empathize greatly with having a negative experience with someone you respected and put a lot of effort into supporting, and then feeling like your entire life has entered a state of suffering when you try to cut them out. I feel for you.

Aww...thank you so much! This is a lovely message and I truly appreciate the support/sympathy. I don’t know if my whole life has entered a state of suffering (mostly because I’m not willing to give Peter that much credit, nor do I feel like he has/ever had that amount of power over me), but certainly my Monkees fandom/fan life has suffered as a result. It’s funny...I always used to say that there wasn’t anything any of the Monkees could do to make me dislike the Monkees (cause it’s usually the fans that drive me up a wall), but I may have to retract or at least revise that statement.

In any case, thank you for your kindness, and I’m so sorry that this type of thing happened to you, too. I hope you’re okay, and I’m sending a big ol’ hug your way:
