Yet another example of the “Colleen Francis” effect of Gender Identity laws and how they allow men to inflict sexual abuse on women and girls in locker rooms and other sex-segregated areas of publi…
“I am a senior woman. Recently, a “man” claiming to be transgender, who had not yet begun physical treatments, was permitted by our local Y to use the women’s locker room. There are no secure change rooms. The person they allowed in was not courteous and stared at me while I struggled out of a wet bathing suit. He was naked, had an erection and playfully asked ‘do you come here often?’ I understand that gender is no longer judged solely by genitalia, but does a brief contact with the duty manager mean that men not yet committed to gender reassignment are free to disrobe anywhere they choose?”

Ok so public bathrooms. We all know 'em, we've all used one before. I've heard people say that bathrooms are based on gender, but who said they were? I know a way where we don't have to waste money on making all these changes to pre-existing bathrooms. What if bathrooms, right from the beginning, weren't actually seperated by gender but biological sex? Like we have the 'girl' bathroom and 'boy' bathroom but what if we interpreted it wrong from the start? What if the so-called 'girl' and 'boy' bathroom actually was like 'you got a vagina? Over here' 'you got a penis? Right here'. And if someone transitioned from having a penis to having a vagina via surgery then boom, it don't matter what you identify as (not in this instance anyhow), you physically have a vagina now? You go to the vagina bathroom. It's not discriminitory that way and it is based purely off of biological appearance (a pretty much set in stone thing, other than surgery) instead of gender (a very complicated spectrum which is imposible to have one bathroom for every gender ever discovered because then we'd have huge-ass mega-malls full of nothing but bathrooms and they'd be everywhere). But I'm wondering, how do you guys feel? Is this whole issue about bathrooms really what we make it or is it one big misenterpretation? And of course we should have 3 bathrooms if we follow this system because some babies are born with both a penis and vagina so which bathroom would they use? They'd use the third bathroom for people who have both. Really I don't get why we have to have seperate bathrooms in the first place but that's a different issue I don't want to tackle right now. But anyway, this is just a thought I had been playing with, let me know what you think.
