They playing party rockers at my doctors appointment, about to tell them i wanna go on T, is this a sign?
u need to look into transgenderism i think
I will! But what does transgenderism mean exactly? Is that the same as trans or transgender?
maybe a hot take but i think that if TERFs really wish to help out trans men then maybe it is not the right choice to immediately start talking about how they are mutilating themself or how they’re so gross and disgusting because that is not how you engage someone in an honest discussion that is how you push them away and make them feel alienated and immediately shut down any chance at actually talking on a level that might help either side
how do you manage to be anti-misogyny AND 'pro' 'trans women' (men making a mockery of a womanhood they will never possess bc they're men) at the same time?
genuinely curious because i actually can explain my takes (the opposite of the above) with ease. can you?
I support trans women (and transgenderism as a whole) because I believe that gender is a social construct that is to be defined by oneself. I also don’t believe in any concept of innate womanhood, so if someone calls herself a woman, I believe her, because that essentially is what gender is: a performance held up by social expectations and a sliver of misunderstood biology. There’s also a concept (I believe it was Kant who first came up with it) of how you cannot know someone else’s experience without being that person. I can have an idea of what a dog is, I can know its anatomy or how it behaves, but I cannot truly know its experience without being that dog myself. And although I certainly have more expertise in the field of womanhood, being a woman myself, I cannot truly know someone else’s experience in their own body, so who am I to police their self-expression, especially when it harms no one else?
Also, all scientific consensus supports transgenderism and related concepts. Sex and gender being different has been in anthropology studies for a while! I’m no expert on gender, however, so I would definitely encourage you to do your own research or, if you prefer, I can point you to some good studies on this, which will certainly do this topic more justice than my undoubtedly muddled explanation.
google how do i make an animated movie about transgenderism pg-13 without watering it down to nothing (there are themes of sexual assault , medical malpractice, physical and verbal abuse, and theres at least one scene with iron-lung levels of blood for #periodrep)
gonna embrace femininity and buy cute bras amen
