#latergram #DayTripToRotto There are two lighthouses on #RottnestIsland: the smaller #BathurstLighthouse in the east (1900) & the nearly 40m tall #WadjemupLighthouse in the centre of the island. Completed in 1896 it’s WA’s 4th oldest, and was Australia’s first with a rotating beam which can be seen 50km away. It replaced the 1842-51 tower built by Aboriginal convicts.
