sick of everyone saying that sydney sweeney and sabrina carpenter are “setting feminism back” like can we have one thought in our brains. im glad sydney is profiting off stupid men idgaf if shes “objectifying herself” like thats what she does to make money and it doesnt affect u. and sabrina playing into the dog thing is obviously ironic and shes gonna subvert it probably considering the lead single is called manchild. the actions of a few women do not set feminism overall back if anything its taking advantage of the negative view of women for their own gain which is like. girlboss or whatever. and acting like all of these women’s actions are catered specifically towards men is what actually sets feminism back i fear. like wdym u analyze everything women do as “catering to the male gaze” like YOU are the one who is focusing on men here
