Batman Hush - Thoughts
It’s not terrible but it’s not the best comic to movie adaptation ever either. I rank it somewhere in the middle as fun to watch but not a complete copy of the comics if that’s what you’re looking for.
The cons:
The ending isn’t the same as the comic
No Tim Drake
The artwork isn’t as pretty as the comic
The pros:
Sassy Dick Grayson
Wholesome Batcat
More cohesive of a story than the comic
Don’t get me wrong, the comic book was great and I love how it ended and the mystery of Hush, but it did feel convuluted, choppy, and overburdened with so many characters. This movie, although lacking some of the better parts of the comic, did bring it together in a way that would be easy for first time viewers. Do I like the ending they changed? Absolutely not. The identity of Hush shouldn’t have been altered and I’m shocked they changed it at all. This however is an adaptation into a world where Damien Wayne exists already and has been introduced. Some things have to change (not all of course) but some does need to be for the sake of the movie’s run time.
So overall, fun character moments and the first two thirds of the story well told, but not as enjoyable for the last third.
Not 2 b controversial BUT I feel like people (men) are only hating on Robert Pattinson playing Batman bc they see him as a 'teen girl movies' actor and as we are all well aware of anything a teen girl likes is automatically childish, ugly and tasteless in the eyes of men :)
Robert Pattinson is Batman
Robert Pattinson is Batman
He’s going from sex symbol to bat symbol. Sources tell Varietythat Robert Pattinsonis in negotiations to play “The Batman” in Matt Reeves’ forthcoming superhero film, which hits theaters June 25, 2021.
While sources say it’s not yet a done deal, Pattinson is the top choice and it’s expected to close shortly. Warner Bros. had no comment.
