📏 21700 nickel tab thickness – quick cheat sheet

0.1mm too thin? 0.3mm overkill?

Here's the rule:

🔋 6–7mm wide → 0.15mm thick (standard) 🔋 8mm wide → 0.2mm thick (high current) 🔋 10mm wide → 0.2–0.3mm thick (max power)

Pro tip: Match tab size to cell discharge rating. A 45A 21700 needs thicker/wider tabs than a 15A one.

Not all tape-packed tabs are the same. Look for: 👇

📏 Tab: 0.1–0.3mm thick, 2–10mm wide 📏 Carrier tape: 12–32mm wide 📏 Pitch: 4mm, 8mm, or 12mm (match your machine) 📦 Reel: 7″ or 13″ diameter

Pro tip: Get a drawing before ordering. Tolerance matters. 🔧
